Hi all,

I work for a medium sized interactive firm and we do asp.net almost exclusively. We've been using 1and1.com for years and they've been getting worse and worse on the customer service and hosting department, so we're looking for a new web host.

What we need:
ASP.Net 4.0
Able to host multiple sites.
Direct access to DNS.
at least a few SQL Server Databases.
some way to upload data, doesn't matter if it's FTP, SFTP, Web Deploy, Server Extensions.

What we don't need:
Email
tons and tons of bandwidth transfer
tons and tons of disk space.

Places I've looked at:
http://logicpoint.net - Doesn't really support multiple site even though their website says they do.
http://www.arvixe.com - Looks decent, but I can't find any reviews of their business plans.
http://www.sherweb.com - Way too expensive for what we want. SQL Server is an extra charge

So does anyone have any good experiences with any hosts?

Well 1on1 was always the worst host imaginable to begin with

Have you looked at Azure at all? Don't they provide .NET hosting now?

Otherwise Rackspace Cloud was decent when I was using it several years ago

Well having just looked at Azure, They're way out of our price range. For the price they're asking we can pretty much get a dedicated server at somewhere like ServerBeach. Looks like similar pricing at Rackspace Cloud.

If possible we'd like to stay under $50 a month

About what is your monthly bandwidth transfer on your current site?

And how much disk space are you actually using/plan to use?

While you list them as not important, it is important for finding a new webhost at a competative price. If you are only using 100mb/month data transfer list that.

Also what type of sql? MySQL? msSQL? ODBC?

If you want to look at a forum dedicated to hosting go here: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=45

Here is what i dug up on arvixe
    http://www.webhostingstuff.com/company/ArvixeWebSolutions.html
    http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1044064
    http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1032383

From what I'm reading arvixe has a 60 day money back guarentee, and the people that were dissatisfied got it their money back without much fuss.

We average between 2 and 5 GB of transfer per month and we need at least 5GB of storage.

We need at least MS SQL Server 2005, with 2008 being preferred.
