I'm not really a big meat guy. I don't eat pork or shellfish and I don't really dig lamb and I don't eat steak but I love hamburgers.
I've had emu and kangaroo and crocodile, and shark is common as hell over here. It's just really flaky dry fish meat, nothing special. I reckon I'm about done with my meat tasting career.
We're planning on going out for Kobe beef when we hit Japan in September. Not an exotic animal, but when a cow gets deep tissue massages and is raised on grain and beer, it turns exotic.

I just brought myself a Dragon Fruit. It looks like a fun time. Burnt a nice little hole in my wallet though. I haven't eaten it yet, apparently they're good cold. How contradictory to the name...
Elk and buffalo are not exotic meats, due to the fact that I eat buffalo all of the time. The only elk meat I've had was elk jerky, which was really good. All tender and fresh and delicious.
I've had alligator before. Tastes like kielbasa.

Annnnd I think that's it, and obviously the triumvate of every household, chicken, beef and pork. Then not to mention more types of fish than i can shake a stick at. And shrimp, lobster and crab. Also Horse meat isn't very good, very tough and stringy I don't recomend it.

I would say raw oyster is pretty darn exotic if you live away from the coast.
And I damn well don't recommend eating it unless it is fresh.
Secret Satan
i still hate seafood though
gross
And you refuse to eat any of it?

Arthropods are waterborne insects. Fuck that noise.
Actually they are more like spiders and scorpions.
Insects probably taste a lot different.

The point is they have many legs and no spines and are satanic creatures without mercy or regret

I disagree. It has a strong flavor like chicken does but distinct. It's texture was more like that of a full-bodied fish to me.
they smell so nasty

When their alive maybe. How pleasant do you think cows smell when they are alive or being butchered?
they have that fishy smell that lingers in your house
If fish smells or taste fishy it is because it is spoiled.
