Alright. So. I want to improve my music library with genres or artists I don't normally listen to. For one reason, I want to simply expand my music taste beyond what I'm used to. For another reason, I'm tired of being seen as the guy that only listens to rock and metal and shit that other people (namely females) can't stand.
So here's a run-down of my currently music library. My favorite genre is rock of just about any type. About the only rock I don't care for is scream-o rock, but beyond that anything is game. My favorite bands that have been staples in my library forever include (in no particular order):
Metallica
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Foo Fighters
Disturbed
AC/DC
Shinedown
Stone Temple Pilots
Pearl Jam
Rage Against the Machine
The Offspring
Ozzy Osbourne
Blue Oyster Cult
Deep Purple
Alice in Chains
Audioslave
Avenged Sevenfold
Bush
Guns N' Roses
Incubus
A Perfect Circle
Tool
Soundgarden
Journey
Boston
311
Dio
Bang Camaro
Bon Jovi
Breaking Benjamin
Three Days Grace
Collective Soul
Nine Inch Nails
Nirvana
Queen
Rob Zombie
Stone Sour
I certianly wouldn't mind some more rock recommendations, but I'm mainly looking for some other genres here. Also there are a lot of other rock bands in my library I didn't list that I really like but didn't list since I only have their top singles and such.
In recent months I've branched into rap, hip hop, and some pop a little bit. I've downloaded and pretty thoroughly enjoyed Eminem, Lupe Fiasco, B.o.B., OutKast, N.E.R.D., Michael Jackson, Beastie Boys, Justin Timberlake, and a few singles from artists like Colio (Gangta's Paradise), Will Smith (Summertime), or Chamillionaire (Rollin'). If anyone has any other bands like these, I'd like to hear them. I generally like the rappers that incorporate some rock or instruments into their song, hence why I really enjoyed OutKast and N.E.R.D.
I'm open to some other genres too. About the only genre I almost completely dismiss is country. The only country band in my library is Zac Brown Band. I'll listen to any country recommendations, but I probably won't end up making them part of my library.
So...hit me with your best shot...I'm so sorry.

and you said you werent into 'screamo' rock, but give these bands a chance - i did, and i really liked em. you probably wont like all their songs, but check out my suggestions.
Note that they arent 'screamo' but just metal that uses some screaming in it.
solution.45 - lethean tears, on embered fields adust, through night-kingdomed gates
scar symmetry - morphogenesis, ghost prototype I, trapezoid, timewave zero, fear catalyst, noumenon and phenomenon
disarmonia mundi - celestial furnace, ocean grave, colors of a new era, venom leech and the hands of rain
You may like Death Cab for Cutie, they have a really large discography now and I think you'd enjoy their guitar work. Also, your library seems lacking of Radiohead, which surprises me if you're a fan of rock. I agree with Big Red Tie, Queens seem like they would fit perfectly for you.

If you like rap and enjoy jazz, you may really like A Tribe Called Quest and Gang Starr. Tribe incorporates a lot of jazz into their songs, and Guru of Gang Starr was similarly influenced, though not so much in his work with Gang Starr. You should also check out the Flaming Lips if you want some rock/indie shit. I see a lot of Vedder and Cornell in that list so you may like Temple of the Dog, it was a one off project that the two did to honor the lead singer of Mother Love Bone who passed away (another band you may wanna check out). It's all kinda cheesy 90's stuff but you may like it.
If you like funny hip-hop...

If you like punk you may enjoy the Clash. Definitely a huge influence on a lot of the bands that you listed. The Police are great too, anyone can listen to them and find something to enjoy with their discography. Same with Beck, although he's a bit weirder than most.

For the different stuff I am not generally a fan of techno, but Assemblage 23 is pretty sweet. (try I Am The Rain, Naked, and House On Fire)
ColdPlay's Mylo Xyloto is a bit of a mix
Some of REM's earlier stuff is also pretty good non-rock
For extremely alternative you might try E Nomine (metternacht is a good one)
Jesus Lizard
Shellac
The Dwarves
Rocket from the Crypt
Hot Water Music
Led Zep
Black Sabbath
Turbonegro
Orange goblin
Zeke

You might really like P.O.S, though its less of a rock influence and more of a punk influence,
I might check out the Arctic Monkeys, too.
I also like me the Italian fantasy themed symphonic power metal band, Rhapsody of Fire.
Gorillaz? Or Damon Albarn's previous pop band, Blur
Also, Muse
System of a Down?
Their hits are probably overplayed but worth mentioning, Cage the Elephant opened for the Foo Fighters during their recent tour
Or expose yourself to rock bands from China? Try Carsick Cars or Tang Dynasty
Non rock? Can't stop listening to Nujabes.
You've probably heard the overplayed singles by Gnarls Barkley/Cee Lo Green but the other stuff he does is great
You didn't mention THE, The Beatles. Go back in time and sample more oldies! There is a reason why some old bands/groups made it big. Don't shun old songs. I still think that ABBA has the best harmonies I'd ever hear.
I'm currently testing out the Decemberists and Feist

It's funny though, because your list of favorite artists has a ton of overlap with what I used to listen a lot (and still do, but not as much). I'm starting to branch out, especially into more electronic music, and a lot of it is because of this guy -

He's mostly known for Drifting cause of the cool 'drum on guitar' thing it has going, but Art of Motion is just beautiful and the end of Rylynn has him playing one handed pinch harmonics while playing a melody with his other hand. That's just nuts.
