On Hawkeye #2... does Kate have a crush on Clint? Is that how that penultimate page was supposed to be read?

Yeah? People have crushes on those older than them all the time.

Nothing's going to happen, but I was wondering if that's the direction we were going here. Fangirl crush.

    Here's the page in question:

For a second there I thought that guy in Hawkeye was supposed to be Swordsman and I was like "what the heck"

But now I hope he shows up again. I want him to team up with Batroc for ultimate French mustache power.

He trained under Swordsman like Hawkeye actually did!

Green Lantern #0 i dunno about the way they introduced him, and the fact that we didnt really learn that much about Simon this issue, but neat ending.

The Incognito deluxe hardcover that came out today is glorious. I'm glad I waited to read Incognito Vol. 2 until now - it's a beautiful collection with a bunch of cool extra features, much like the first Criminal hardcover.

    Here's my unfortunate MotW:
    2012-09-06_04-46-05_720.jpg

I'm sure Peter is lucky to have Max (and his whiskers) in his life, but maybe he shouldn't do that in front of his other role models. Captain Stacy especially doesn't seem to approve.

Okay so I know I'm late to the party but KING CITY

I stopped x-force when they went to Britain land even though I read excalibur as a tot. Up until then it was my #1 marvel. I don't care about fake nightcrawler at all.

Wolverine and x-Men seemed decent enough but I had no motivation to keep going.

Are you guys trolling me with gen hope and venom

I will check the others at the funnies store this coming weekend. FF and such did nothing for me at a glance but I want to love marvel for nostalgia purposes and GV usually knows what is going on

Also I just finished king city

    What no

Gen Hope is by Kieron Gillen who is super awesome and Venom is by Rick Remender from X-Force

and man, you should really hope back on X-Force, Otherworld was a bit weird but it has been fantastic since then

Brandon Grahm is awesome, King City was just a surprisingly good book.

I'd recommend Orc Stain and other stuff by James Stokoe if you like him. Him and Stokoe kind of share a similar storytelling and artistic bent, lots of background details, bits and pieces of story and all that.

Take a moment to donate what you can to Critical Resistance and Black Lives Matter.

It's very good! I just grabbed the trade a week or so back after reading it monthly.

Also Orc Stain as mentioned above is pretty top-shelf. :3

Make sure you get Multiple Warheads in October. That looks to be a ton of fun.

Here's something from Thief of Thieves #8, which features the debut of James Asmus on the title. Though I still feel this comic is a shameless (and successful) attempt by Kirkman to sell AMC a new TV show, I have to admit, I really enjoy it.
In the previous arc, master thief Conrad Redmond announced his retirement. But, when his son was arrested, and facing a lengthy prison sentence, Redmond called in all the favors available to him, indebting himself to numerous criminal associates, in order to get his son off the hook. Still, he can't work up the enthusiasm to return to his criminal ways.

Until his ex-wife's husband, an antiquities dealer, publicly demeans and insults him. Suddenly, he's got the itch again.

    TnEWj.jpg

    JYc6N.jpg

    e83hv.jpg

It's such a cliche to have the smooth ex-husband get one over on the sneering, spineless new beau, but it's always so satisfying. Plus, Martinbrough is still killing it on the art, and I'll always be a sucker for someone casually singing while they do something shady.

Meanwhile, in Bloodstrike #30, the team is dispatched to Sudan, where someone has been killing rebels, as well as foreign aid workers. Arriving at the scene, Bloodstrike finds the party responsible; the Black Bride, and her Dead-Eyed Grooms, a former super-spy who uses mindless clones of her late husband, to complete contract killings.
    2AodK.jpg

Despite my initial misgivings, I've really been digging this book. Tim Seeley's really established himself as a surprisingly versatile writer, and Francesco Gaston's art is the kind of cartoony ultraviolence, that I tend to enjoy.

You could follow the story, but I don't think you'd get much out of it, honestly.

The first arc's by Nick Spencer, and pretty good. Plus, it's only nine dollars on Amazon.
