    You think of that sarukun?

He said specifically that it was peach snapple.

    I know, I read after I posted.

But what if it was green tea snapple?

Surely that would be something that could go well with sushi.

Most sushi places serve freshly-made, non-sweetened green tea though. That'd be a better alternative.
Personally I can't eat sushi without some hot sake, I love the feeling it gives my sinuses.

I usually just get a sprite when eating sushi.

Can't stand saki, warm or cold. Although I especially can't stand any warm alcoholic beverage.

    I actually do hate wine.

I'm not a fan of saki, and that may very well be because I haven't tried enough of them. I've gotten into drinking straight whiskey, maybe that will help with saki. I wasn't comfortable drinking liquor straight before, so unless it was a mixed drink or beer, I wasn't fond of it.

There's one from southern Japan that's really mild and sweet and I drink like water when it's warm.

I like hot, dry sake or a cold plum sake. I've found though that I don't like ALL plumb sakes as some are bitter and gross. I haven't tried cold, unfiltered sake yet but I bet it's refreshing. I'm a guy who needs a strong hit of alcohol for it to even register, which is why I enjoy the aromatic feeling of steam rising out of a sake cup into my sinuses.

I also like tying two babies to a length of twine and using them as giant "clackers." (just giving the original topic some sun again).

Sheri, I'm tellin ya, a chilled glass of plum sake makes a great dessert wine. You might like. It also makes you feel very refined if you drink it out of the tiny stemmed-glass they serve it to you in.

I almost ordered some plum wine/sake drink tonight

But then I had a Sapporo instead.

I've only had Asahi (okay) and Kirin (quite good indeed). Japanese beers aren't bad, they can have more than just novelty value. I ought to do a sakebomb sometime. The place I worked had them all the time but I never tried.

edit: corrected my beers. It is KIRIN I like.

In other food-related news, the girlfriend is planning to make crepes when she stays over at the end of the week. She wants to know what I want in them. Now I've heard that you can put damn-near anything in these puppies and it'll taste good so though my brain says "blueberries" I kind of want some people with crepe experience to tell me if there is anything else I might want to consider.

    Any suggestions?
