I loved using those chakras ( Xena boomerang things ) that would hit on the walls, mobs and return to you.
Deflecting magic with a shield was also prety cool.
This game had some realy cool mechanics for its time i must say.
Fuck yeah, I am totally down for this. I played the hell out of this game, my whole family used to have a copy so I just need to find one of them... somewhere.

haha that video was awesome. Had almost everything I used to do as a conjurer. Summoning mechnical golems, using force of nature constantly down hallways, teleporting away constantly. No fist of vengeance though Made me want to play again, but I don't currently have my discs with me (there spread out in different cases, I'd have to find them), but when I do I'll be down to play.
Man, I had so many great experiences with Nox. If any of you ran into a Warrior named Bleu (all-blue color scheme, right down to his skin), that was me.
I remember one time I was playing on the cabin map in team deathmatch. The one where the cabin itself is filled with deathtraps, and there are a few teleporters hanging around the outside. Early in the match, I was running from a few of the enemies, and hid behind a bush. The teammate who was with me got caught and killed pretty easily, but the enemies ran straight past me. I was hiding, after all. So the teammate got ticked off because I stood by and watched him get killed (I was half-dead myself, so I figured it was better if one of us survived than none of us). Well, that came back to haunt me later in the match, when I was the last man standing against five of the enemy. That dude (and a few more people on my team) started calling my location on the public channel. Nevertheless, I still managed to kill two of the five, and the only reason I died was my shield broke when the last three ganged up on me. I mean, people were analyzing my battle tactics for weaknesses and yelling tips to guys still alive.
Then there was the time I decided to see just how far a War Charge will go. Answer: as far as it needs to. You remember the capture the flag map that was basically one huge road with a couple bridges between two forts? I War Charged the whole thing, starting from just inside my team's base and sprinting the whole way to the other team's base. ...where there was a Conjuror waiting just behind their doors. One-shotted the poor guy.
I remember a match where we were on the map with one team in a forest fort and the other in a graveyard. My team had the fort, and man did we ever have a lot of Warriors. When someone commented on that, I got an idea. Any Warrior who could got a kite shield and stood in defense at the entrance to the fort. The thing was, the other team had, at most, one Conjuror, so we were pretty much an impenetrable wall. Man, it was so much fun watching three to five fireballs coming in at once to no effect.
You just don't get awesome moments like those out of a more traditional RPG like WoW.

oh i keep getting an urge to play this, but then i play a WoW trial and it goes away.... maybe this time i'll actually put it on my laptop for times when i dont have the net.
hmm I can't get into the game. It keeps crashing after the Nox logo cinematic. I got into the game using compatibility mode, I changed the res., tried to host a lan game to test it out, game exited, now I can't get past the intro anymore. Time to reinstall and try again.

...right.
Anyways, I loved this game a lot. I pretty much abused the crossbow-jump trick and the conjurer kill spells to destroy the competition.
Until I started coming across servers filled with CAL-I wizards teleporting, draining mana, and using lightning at the same time.
that reminds me of a lot wizards who would shield themselves, cloak, and wait in hiding until someone walked by and then deathray them.
