I hope I helped a turtle yesterday. I just got home and while I was walking to my door I noticed some movement on the mulch pile surrounding our new tree. Got closer and discovered it was a Painted Turtle; I live in the downtown part of a small town, but on the main road so we have pretty constant traffic. I didn't want it going into the street so I went inside and got a popcorn bucket to transport it in and drove down the hill and put him on the river bank (small river). He went down to the water and starting swimming upstream, so hopefully he's chillin' with his homies.
