Spurious Notifications

in Tube's Circus Of Bug Reports and User Issues
I've started receiving Notifications about posts in the "Who wants a Rusty Venture? Venture Bros Back June 2nd, Yo!" thread. I've received 10 so far and as far as I'm aware I haven't ever posted in that thread or set any preference for receiving info about it. I don't even recognise any of the names of people posting in it.

I have a thoughtful and infrequently updated blog about games http://whatithinkaboutwhenithinkaboutgames.wordpress.com/

I made a game, it has penguins in it. It's pay what you like on Gumroad.

Currently Ebaying Nothing at all but I might do in the future.

    Do you use the bookmarks feature? The only thing I can think of is that if you don't, perhaps you have it set in your notification preferences to notify you when someone posts in bookmarked threads and simply haven't noticed because you didn't have any bookmarks. If that's the case and then you accidentally bookmarked that thread it would explain what's happening.

    I have on several occasions accidentally hit that little star/bookmark icon or whatever it happens to be at the time thing on the right side of the screen while scrolling up or down the page on a mobile device. Just find that thread in the forum view and hit that icon again and the notifications should stop

    Yup, looks like that is what has happened. Never noticed the bookmark functionality before.
