Alright, so I was sort of inspired by this guy http://www.christopherburdett.com/ to draw every monster from the original Dungeons & Dragons Monster Manual. I'm gonna try for one a week, doing one monster from each letter of the alphabet, in order, and looping back through until they're all done.

This will not end well.

Here's the first three:

Here's where you come in.

I'm indecisive, so I want the community to vote on what I do next. So if you like what you see and want to see more, go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Index_of_Advanced_Dungeons_&_Dragons_1st_edition_monsters#TSR_2009_-_Monster_Manual_.281977.29 and pick me out a good "D" Monster. As luck would have it, the letter D encompasses Demon, Devil, AND Dragon; please pick a specific one if that is your choice (e.g. Demon - Type IV, Devil - Ice, or Dragon - Green). I'll start on Tuesday evening with whatever gets the most votes by then, or whatever gets picked first.

Please heap admonitions upon me if I do not go through with this - I need to draw/paint more, hopefully this will be good encouragement.

    Critiques are really the aim of the forum, are you looking for feedback on these pieces? If you are just looking to take requests, you probably aren't going to get much of a response (also I'll probably lock the thread. Probably.)

    Critiques are very welcome. My main goal with this whole project is to practice digital colors. Apologies if this the wrong venue and please lock if necessary.

    Maybe it would be better if we just consider this my sketchbook thread and I'll add the new pieces as I do them? I can get facebook friends to give me next monster votes.

    Any chance you'd be willing to cross post this in Critical Failures? We may not be as good at doing the whole art critique thing, but we do love us some D&D monster arts.

    I really like the style of these. I would love to see more before going full critique mode, but if you want to hear anything I'd say maybe go a bit more dynamic for each one, but apart from that really nice work mate.
