Lower prices on games. I like 'em. You like 'em. And here is where we tell others about 'em. So if you know about a deal or sale on games or gaming devices, post them here!
As of today (8/3/2014) deals we're talking about are Target selling funbux cards at buy one get one 25% off and it applies to about everything they carry.
Valid 8/3/14–8/9/14. In store only. Trade in any working Xbox 360 or PS3 console and receive a $50 coupon toward an Xbox One. Trade in a working Xbox 360 250GB or Sony PlayStation 3 Slim and receive a minimum $100 gift card. Trade in a working wireless Microsoft or Sony controller (up to 4) with console and receive $10 per controller. Not available in all locations, and some stores may have additional limitations. Console must include AC adapter/power cord, power on, not be damaged or have its warranty seal broken to be considered working. Condition, documentation and accessories may affect value. Not compatible with other trade-in offers. You are required to agree to the Terms & Conditions. No dealers. Limit of 1 coupon and trade-in offer per person. See a Customer Specialist or BestBuy.com/Tradein for details.
Any working 360 or PS3 gets $50 toward a X1. But a S or E model 360 and a PS3Slim get an additional $100 gift card (presumably good for anything). The wording in the ad basically suggest that they really only expect to get newer 360s and PS3s for trade-in.
I can see that. And it might be true. However, the basic wording of the deal is '$150 minimum' which tells me that you'd get $150 total for trading in a working slim PS3.
It's the added wording for specific consoles that separates it from 'any'. It wouldn't surprise me to see a place try and cheap somebody out of the full $150 given various horror stories, but I doubt it. I'd probably just find a better BB to go to at that point.
(True story: BB was having a deal on Gamecubes way back when. It was buy a GCN and get one of four games free. [Metroid Prime. Whatever Zelda at the time. And two others I forget.] So I grabbed a Sunshine bundle and Prime and went to buy it. They tried to charge for the game, but I pointed out the sign they'd put out. The sign wasn't specific that bundled GCNs didn't count. So they honoured the deal and I still have my sealed copy of Prime.)
Just a heads up on the Target gaming funbux deal, some of them get the bonus 5% off if you have a Red card. I saved a few extra dollars on my PSN card purchase today.
CoD Ghoooooooooosts! (GoD) 50%$29.99
Rock Band 3 (GoD) 50%$9.99
Green Day American Idiot Album (DLC) 50%$8.99
Terraria (XBLA) 5067%$4.94
Again with the damned CoD. This list feels small. If it gets updated, I'll add to it.
Also, there is a bunch of stuff either on sale or getting a price cut from Capcom. Resident Evil, Dead Rising, DmCmo, Remember Me, Street Fighter, Lost Planet. GoD versions, DLC, XBLA, just an assload of Capcom shit. I'll get the list up when I can, but too much to bother with the pretty colours.

Again with Ghosts, yeah, but I think that's the deepest cut I've seen of it.
And can't forget to mention that Blitz is a good deal either way if you want more songs for regular Rock Band or want a new way to play all your old RB DLC.
Not sure if it's a Canada thing, but at Target, a lot of games are on clearance. I was able to get Ninja Gaiden for the WiiU for $10, and Gran Turismo 6 for $20.

Still haven't played it. Guess I could now that my internets are more stable. But honestly, I never cared for the idea and only bought it for the songs when it went on sale for $7.50. Then they went and released the songs individually. Oh well.
And as I was typing that, it occurred to me the sale price was weird. RBB is normally $15 not $18. Turns out it's the American Idiot Album. So that's a pretty fucking random sale.
EDIT:
Yeah, added RB3 to the list. This week is going to be weird.

Clearence items tend to be local/regional.
Like A LOT of Targets in my old area had stacks of Remember Me for like $17. Haven't checked any in this area though.
Local Wal-Mart had some Reach bundles (Special Edition, no statue) for $50 and "Xbox Live Gold Starter Kits" for $75 (1yr Live, headset, chat pad/keyboard and $5 funbux)

I'd have liked to have seen the DLC for Remember Me discounted, but eh. Anybody know if RE4 plays any better on the 360? I borrowed it on the PS2 once and just didn't like how stiff it played. I feel like I should play it, but I'm just so apathetic about it.
Activision seems to be experimenting with preorder stuffs too. Like actually making collectors editions and limited editions, well, limited (destiny), or providing discounts on season passes (destiny/cod).
Santa, RE4 plays great on the 360, that's where I played my first complete run of it. However, the playstyle is certainly different than other action games. I MUCH prefer it to the rough going wanna be Gears of War stylings of RE 6 though.

Also, did you miss Risen 2 when it was on sale? Now you get it again, this time with the first game, too. So that's nifty. Guess they're hyping Risen 3.
Santa, RE4 plays great on the 360, that's where I played my first complete run of it. However, the playstyle is certainly different than other action games. I MUCH prefer it to the rough going wanna be Gears of War stylings of RE 6 though.
Eh. Perhaps I'll hold out for a cheaper price. Or, better yet, the month they decide to offer it for free GwG style. Free game I'm indifferent on and the sweet, sweet tears of those who demand Batman Origins or some shit.

If they offer a Resident Evil for free, it will be 5. If they offer a Batman for free, it will be City. These are my guesses based on the way the program has recently been handled.

Those EA Sports 'discounts' feel more like a permanent reduction rather than sale. But they're EA games, so who knows? Both Maddens are the same price? Pretty fucked considering they could shut down the online servers any time.
And for all I know or suspect, there could be more JD2014 songs on sale. But hell if I'm going to comb through the list manually.
Nelson finally posted the deals this week. Nothing new and yeah, the EA games are reductions, not sales.

Well... they did Gears 1 and Halo 3, which would point towards Asylum, but then they did Assassin's Creed 2, Saint's Row 3, and Dead Rising 2, which suggests third party games pick a middle game in the series (theoretically to get people to BUY the newest available version).
I find it hard to automatically assume doom for a game getting a good price during a weeklong sale. Let's wait until retailers do it permanently, first.
It's been 6 months since the game launched in March. Plus every other game in existence comes out next month. Respawn just wants some of that delicious X-mas money.
At any rate, to get things back on topic, Gamefly's doing another big sale, once again with no convenient page collecting it all. Cheapassgamer put together a list.

@cloudeagle When I click on a game from the list, it only gives me the option to rent it. There's a "keep" link highlighted, but no option to buy. Does that mean it's sold out?
I've only ever bought digital PC games from Gamefly, so I wasn't sure how it worked there.

The best buy tradein offer makes 0 sense to me. Minimum 150, but they only offer 100$ for the console? Are you supposed to trade in multiple consoles?
@dougyfresh It's a bit misleading.

I posted this here because pre-order bonuses dying a fiery death would be the best possible deal for gamers everywhere.
Well, for pre-order DLC.
I'm a sucker for a well-made statue or other knick-knack.
A statue is the best way to get me to buy your game's CE. I would be sad if Statue CEs went extinct.
Although I did get burned on Arkham Asylum CE's "batarang".
