I don't think you divide the millions raised for a charity by the number of celebrities who spent a few minutes on it.
If you get zuckerberg, Bill Gates, a fuckton of popstars and actors to do it then 15 mill is a bit weak tbh.
But then I don't think ALS research would really be able to use much more money than that. It's a pretty rare decease, though horrible.
Isn't it possible that ALS research could trigger a breakthrough in other related areas? Maybe something like gene therapy or whatever im not a scientist.

I took 3 summer classes this summer and these few weeks off I have I'm going out of my mind. I can't believe how long doing nothing was more appealing than anything only to have it turn its back on me.

Hmm just sat on the couch that came with my apartment. It feels like a spring came loose in the cushion and jabs you in the butt on one side. Other half of couch is really comfy, but if want to have anyone over that is going to make things awkward.
Oh awesome, just got word that they are putting my boat up for an overhaul (new engines, fixing a bunch of internal leaks, lots of little stuff that needs done).
The really good news is that they are sending one of the nicer boats down as a replacement. A little more horsepower and a little more room. Although, As the saying goes, I'm sure someone is tired of its shit.

Most of the Mississippi river fleet was made in the mid 70s so if they are well maintained they are in the sweet spot between new enough to have bugs and old enough to be In constant danger of sinking.
The funny thing is that it's been so long since they made them no one really remembers how to do it. The harbor up from mine has a new harbor tug and shuttle boat and both of them have caught fire and just generally suck to deck off of. Nice kitchens tho.
