Lojainne beats Alleyn's sword off center just enough to get a strike in.

Bleah. Fought through sickness, caught up with work, now I'll catch up with this.

    ---

Quarol, still waiting to hear from you. You have taken the two guys and their box off of the roof of the adjoining building. There's another guy with a box crossing right now. Your options are:

    - take the two guys, the bridge, and the guy on the bridge down to the street. You'll go down with them, and it's going to hurt.
    - just take the two guys down, leaving the bridge intact and recovering in time for the one guy to have crossed over. You're not hurt, but the bridge is still intact for people to use.

    ---

Astrafel, pick your options from the standard 7-9 for Volley.

Severik, if you leave the arbalester she'll shoot at Astrafel at the same time the dudes come up the stairs at him. Anyone's guess which is going to hit harder. So your call if you want to keep engaging.

Lojainne, a hit! A palpable hit! You don't get a good response, like the armor's deflecting it away, but he staggers back in pain anyway. Maybe too much pain? He shakily levels his sword again - Sev would be able to get in, but you're still recovering. Either way, Alleyn looks like he doesn't really want to be in this fight. He's looking to the lady he entrusted that bag to - escape route, it could be?

    ---

Vladire, you're still out on the street. That's still a thing that's happening.

    ---

Blennid, you could squeeze back through and bite the guy, but he's kind of crushing the wall you'd have to slither through. So, yes but Defy Danger? Alternately, you could hide somewhere in here and wait for him to get through, then bite. Same expenditure of hold, but no Defy Danger and you're in a different room.

    Very well then.

Hey, guess what, Quarol? You're in the middle of a big old pile of coins and gems! And shattered boxes. And dead guards. Oh, and stone rubble, some of which landed on top of you.

Above you in a window, one of Alleyn's lieutenants pales, then draws out a few oblong pebbles from a bag. You infer from context that another bridge is going to happen somewhere. What are you doing?

Geth, roll 1d10-1 for the fallingest damages.

Oops forgot I had to pick an option. Astrafel isn't used to all this actual combat stuff, so I'm going to say he moves to get in position, without being fully aware of the danger he's moving himself into.

Oh look, the druid's wandering off again... Blennid will wait for the guard to get all this wall-crushing out of his system, and then strike with deadly venom.

If that leaves him shifted back into halfling form with his teeth still clamped on the man's calf, then so be it.

Astrafel, you hit the first guy up the stairs, sending him tumbling back into his fellows. Just the same, you back away in case someone surges up and surprises you.

Severik, it's a good hit. You tear open a bleeding wound through the scale armor and send the arbalester skidding backward. But you're more worried about an attack coming from other fronts, so when she starts fiddling with the stock and the trigger on the arbalest, you figure she's just lining up a shot.

But then she points it at the ceiling, and a small grayish-green pellet shoots up from under the barrel.

And then the smoke comes down. It covers her and Alleyn and pretty much everything back from them, and it flows out to engulf you, and Lojainne, and Astrafel, who's backed into it.

Bit hard to see, really. They could be doing anything. What are you all doing?

    ---

Blennid, when the wall comes down the smoke pours in, but you don't care because you've got thermal imaging. The biting happens. Roll your class damage.

...of course, when you're not a snake you're going to lose that advantage.

@Glazius‌ - I don't suppose that Lojainne's "What here is evil" gives her any kind of enhanced Evil-Vision(TM) in situations like this?

I'm not expecting it to, but I'd feel foolish if that was how it worked, and I didn't ask.
