Having worked for a small business for 10 years in my past, I would caution against opening a second store until you have an associate/manager that you completely and utterly trust.
This is a really good point.
I worked for a small business as well, and the one he owned prior to the one I worked at, he left the business in the hands of a guy for a month to go take care of business/visit and when he got back he'd found the guy had basically liquidated everything he could and took off for Rio.
When you say 30k in a year, is that your net gain before or after paying yourself? if it's option A, you probably should think twice about opening a new store. if it's option B, that's obviously better, but i'd still hold off on opening a new location. it sounds like you have a good thing going, build on that and don't get greedy yet.
regardless of revenues, unless your first store can operate with minimal time investment from you, i would hold off on that other store.
I'm guessing you have already run across this, but there's a pretty good blog about the ins and outs of running a game store and all the challenges you might face. If you haven't seen it yet, it's probably worth checking out.
