I didn't mind the jumping parts of Xenogears. If you wanted to avoid trouble all you really had to do was shuffle back and forth until you get into a battle and then do the jump. That cut down on the times when you'd get surprised at the worst possible moment.

I think my primary influence for pouncing on Xenosaga at launch was Shion.
Any game with a protagonist like her couldn't be all bad.
Of course, they just had to ruin the best thing the series had going for it in the second episode...
I was going to post this in the Xenoblade thread, but this might be more appropriate.
For those unaware, I've been doing podcast recordings with various PA members each week discussing certain games/series. I really want to do an episode soon that covers the entire "Xeno Trilogy" (Xenogears, Xenosaga Episode I-III, Xenoblade Chronicles), and have been looking for people who may be interested in joining me for a recording.
If anyone here is interested, feel free to shoot me a PM. It's been a pretty fun experience, nothing fancy; just a Skype chat where we discuss our favorite/least favorite moments, etc.
