Right click on the speaker icon in your task bar -> Select 'Recording Devices' -> Double Click your microphone -> select the 'Levels' tab in the Microphone Properties window -> crank it up, baby

When that doesn't work you end up delving into a world of ever more pointlessly complex solutions until you own a sound card, big stage mic, and a mixer festooned with cables that you have to swap around if you want to use your microphone (this also does a thing to your audio out and you can't explain why or what but it just sounds weird, ok?).

Every day you stare at it and wonder if you could just replace it all with a simple USB mic, but you know in your heart that you probably never will.

I'm not going to try this because my sound card is...well, let's just say that there's a good chance that, whenever I open up any of the interfaces that allow me to adjust its settings, my computer goes into a hard lockup

basically, never buying another Sound Blaster ever again

that was impressive and creepy, Goatmon

I didn't know there was a voice thread, pleasantly surprised to see it pop up as it's been on my mind often of late

it isn't like voice acting work or anything, but...

i've been gathering resources so I can start working on feminizing my voice, since I really need to be practicing already. it'll probably take years for me to be happy with it

working out how and when to eventually integrate that with let's playing on YouTube will be interesting

I love any chance to work with somebody on voice stuff.

Hey sorry, I got caught up playing hammerwatch and lost track of time.

I'm actually pretty tired at this point, we should probably just do this tomorrow.

I've been sick lately and I woke up really hoarse.

So I decided to record a bunch of Tom Waits quotes and throw in some old music.
