I'm hearing that the Texas attorney general is ordering clerks to ignore the Supreme Court ruling saying that Texas law supersedes them.
Not sure if true since it's only people on twitter saying it.

I mean, my families church has pamphlets, explaining in detail, that; "We will not accept homosexual unions as per Biblical scripture", and i'm like, "uhm, the state or feds cannot force you to accept or perform marriages against your religion you geese!"

Not that it's in the cards because it's not an issue in the public discourse at all over here, but I'd be all for for actually making this so and taking all the official bits of marriage out of religious organizations and leave only the state's end of things. In other words, having

Indeed, however heartened the proponents of same-sex marriage might be on this day, it is worth acknowledging what they have lost, and lost forever: the opportunity to win the true acceptance that comes from persuading their fellow citizens of the justice of their cause. And they lose this just when the winds of change were freshening at their backs.

Oh shut it, Roberts. Nobody will give a shit in a couple of decades.
