I certainly hope the actual conversation didn't have a line so ambiguous as to suggest the remote possibility that Brahsman is trying to wedge in on Gabrullo's love life. I have a story about such a misunderstanding, which I'll save for a time when my mind can enumerate the events without upheaval, so, never.
People still care about Destiny? All I ever heard from every person I asked about it and most places online were people saying it's a tedious grindfest that isn't really that fun. Some said it was fun with friends, but even then they said it gets boring after awhile. I guess Bungie can do no wrong in some people's eyes...
I had a look at your so called "Egg McMuffin", and I for one am outraged that these silly gooses have the gall to feed you fine gentlemen such povo "food"! Is THIS really and truly what they attempt to foist on you? Feast your eyes upon TRUE FOOD. True bacon and not obscenely renamed ham. You may have two slices! Cheese that looks like it really came from a cow!

The Taken King is much improved, but to your point, every game is repetitive, and Destiny's gun play is fun all by itself. Also you only hear the loud minority on the internet, there are millions of people playing Destiny, just apparently no one you know.

Small groups of the outraged vocally complain about Destiny. Then everyone else buys it and enjoys it. It's a pretty successful game.

Not much interest in Destiny, but I wouldn't say "Bungie can do no wrong" in many people's eyes. The Halo series is one of the most unfairly criticized 'successful-because-it's-a-solid-game' games, right up there with WoW. Mike and Jerry tend to like the games they like without really being touched by whether the internet has declared that you are supposed to dislike them.

That first one you linked actually has ham on it, not bacon. Look at the other sandwiches below that specify bacon.
I just started playing Destiny this week. I'm having a lot of fun. I didn't know it inspired so much vocal hate. I was never into Halo, but Destiny is good.
They did do some wrong when the game was first released. It was very shallow on content and you got the feeling it was rushed out before it was truly done.
Now they've released the Taken King, which is damn near a relaunch of the game entirely (in fact to buy it new now you just buy that). It is excellent.

Sounds like you've never played it. The gunplay and game mechanics are quite good (Halo like). There were some issues with the initial release, but Bungie has steadily improved it. Taken King was a substantial rework.

I think that's an unfair characterization of Destiny players. If anything, Destiny players bitch about Bungie more than anyone else. So it's hardly a case of rose-colored glasses.

Destiny is fun to play. Yes it is grindy but like WoW vanilla you have fun while doing the grind. The story is blah and Peter Dinklage was stunt casting but it's fun to play. Hell even Yahtzee kinda liked it. For Yahtzee that is he is a noted non-fan of multiplayer.
Happy Birthday;
Make sure to not cut your thumb off again,
Or to forget to be cautious when doing one of the two things Tycho says.
At least, I think.
Not saving in Destiny, man.
Hard time.

Also you only hear the loud minority on the internet, there are millions of people playing Destiny, just apparently no one you know.
This can be said about any large game in existance, really. However, depending on severity of those compaints you can find what kind of problems the game has(i.e if some complaint is being repeated over and over by different people on different platforms, then you can't just write it off as a "loud minority being angry for no reason").

That is true, and I'm not saying that Destiny is without problems, especially pre-Taken King. But you also can't overlook that something getting popular usually causes hate solely because it is the cool thing to do.

Obviously it is, which is why I try, if possible, to try the game out myself before I have an opinion regarding that. Well, for the most part. I don't really like CoD despite not playing latest installments. But it's not like the game changes drastically between them.

I'm surprised we're not seeing a Macy's style parade with a week-long celebration, giant Gabe floats crowding the skyline. His birthday's kind of a big deal, you know.
Happy birthday Gabe. Love the strip.

American bacon is best bacon hands down.

They look okay to me. Tycho : Blue, Spencer : Orangeish.
Pretty sure they did.

But as we all know, Mike and Jerry don't promote things that they don't genuinely like. Indeed, Jerry has only recently converted to a Destiny fan.

Canada is quietly smirking at you. Yes, the whole damned country.

*gasp*
The whole country?! Better get a fifth of America to smirk back as a measured response.
You'll need a fifth of something, to be sure.
Maybe I was mis-construing the line in the last panel.
People are referring to him as Spencer as a reference to last Friday's comic.
I am getting old. Like that was a comic I really liked. I didn't even read it until yesterday!
I need to start binging on ginkgo baloba

Who is Mike? Do you mean Spencer?
Nobody celebrates Spencer's birthday. It's all about Los Dias del Gabriel, baby.
Gabe looks a little different these days, but he printed out his birth certificate as proof, so it's all legit.
So you're saying Spencer's for hire?
...I'll show myself out.

If only more people were as rational as you are.
