Ah well, it was a hell of an effort. Hopefully the blue team doesn't know about President Taft's troubled youth as a member of the Scorpions motorcycle gang.
No basis for file aside that lawyers use them.
I've just been googling this guy because I'm not american.
In fairness I'm pretty sure the only thing most Americans know about him, if they know anything at all, is that he was a big dude and once got stuck in the White House bathtub.
Considering how much the blue team was hovering around "Lawyer", I probably would have made a "HUGE: 1" clue and let my operatives fill in the blanks. Taft is pretty good, since even though not everyone will know he was on the Supreme Court, it is fairly common to know that he was physically large. I also found this bit at the end of the game to be funny:

considering the red team's final clue. It was a good effort!
Looks like I've got eight names signed up currently for Game 5, I'll start the game up tonight. Feel free to continue to sign up, however - new players get priority in terms of placement!
I would also play, though given that I am a lawyer, I have to finish crying softly in a corner first...
I wasn't going for lawyer. I have nothing but respect and was just apalled that my cohorts thought as much.
As for whether I should have just let them assume lawyer, they seemed to convince themselves that I was going for Pirate so I wasn't sure if that would work. Also, I was personally amused by Taft as a clue and that always wins out.

This comes back around to the second clue.
If you had not given us a Pirate clue, we would have guessed lawyer with our extra guess that turn.
As it was, Occam's razor dictated that Pirate was the 4th rat. Even though it did not seem to have any relationship with the meaning of the word rat.
... but I guess if we had only 7/8 clues given to us by you, then we would've guessed lawyer in lieu of anything else.

Aren't they indian-givers?
Edit: This jibe would've been more effective in the red team's turn...
I had to wiki taft though.

Think I signed up! before, but I've been in 3/4 games now.

Also glorious first victory for the non-starting team

Animal? said with 20/20 hindsight. I had the same problem - being spymaster is over-thinker's nightmare.
Mammoth was in play though.
Cowboy might've done, but it'd be hard to get those 3 under one umbrella.
