If something's entertainingly bad, it's fun to discuss
If it's not, I try to avoid it unless it's people asking about general thoughts about things (state of the company [awful], HHH [awful], historically shit segments like Rusev/Dolph [awful]), but still acknowledge discussion of bad when bad is present is necessary. Not frequently, but when stuff happens; main reason I was so pro-discussion and rejection of the Reid segment [awful]. Horrible or shitty stuff shouldn't be brushed aside, because that goes against the very thing facetious was talking about in his first paragraph
It's become much harder for even the most optimistic person to not have more complaints than positives about WWE, and if it seems like it's talked about a lot here, it's only because honestly, mostly, it feels like one has to talk about WWE here. Even though it's the wrestling thread, barely any other promotions get watched/talked about frequently. It took Asuka's signing for joshi to even get real discussion and love shown here, just as a recent major example. There's the occasional lolTNA or ROHtalk or New Japan talk or now RIPlucha or in January WatchLU talk or discussion/comments, but that's 2% at best of the average 100-page wrestling thread (of which there are a lot in one year)
I mean I can get some catharsis out of ranting about something I really dislike but for the most part, absolutely
oh sure, I can get behind an occassional rant
but the kind of constant railing against wwe that goes on in other spaces that talk about wrestling sounds exhausting to me
I think the big difference of our group is we genuinely want WWE to improve and get frustrated when they fuck up. And the reality is they're helmed by a bully with a horrible world view who seemingly has no desire to improve or listen to a large number of his paying customers, the latter of which is finally starting to drive away fans in droves.
Whenever WWE starts sucking I don't complain about it, I just watch more not WWE stuff. I have a shit ton of Indy matches marked as watch later on youtube, as well as so many shows on NJPWworld to watch. There's always good wrestling to watch so unless WWE does something so bad that it has to be commented on how shitty that was, I just mumble about it being disappointing and focus on good wrestling elsewhere.
I guess PWI says the final nail in the coffin of Brad Maddox being released was that he called either the audience or his opponents, it wasn't clear in the article, "cocky pricks" in a promo before his Smackdown dark match and they did not approve of his language.
I just need more of this and I'm cool with Survivor Series

The obnoxious thing about WWE releasing Brad Maddox is that he's another guy who I bet will show up at various indies like Sydal and Hawkins and Trent and have amazing matches that would help WWE's product.

If this is actually true, just...c'mon.
It seems pretty obvious that they didn't want him on the roster for whatever reason and just chose this as the excuse.
JBL did a fucking Nazi salute and a goose step at a live event and nothing (that I'm aware of) happened to him. Sure, that was over a decade ok, but still. Calling someone a prick is such a nothing comment.
PAFC Top 10 Finisher in Seasons 1 and 3. 2nd in Seasons 4 and 5. Final 4 in Season 6.
He called the crowd cocky pricks, and it was mentioned in a couple live reports for Main Event (his dark promo/match were around that point). He ad-libbed it, it wasn't scripted, he isn't the boss (Vince came out and ad-libbed a promo ridiculing the fans in London last year for being quiet for the whole show, comparing them to Ebola at one point), and he was already stuck doing nothing else before, so yeah, that was his last "fuckup". RIP Rad Ox. Then. Now. Forever.
I think the most sensible thing people could do is fly down to Perth, Australia and watch me beat up three other men to win the Art of Fighting championship this weekend.
Can you hurry up and get booked in PWG so I can be the person in the crowd most obviously flipping the fuck out over everything you do?
I just don't really understand this booking with the Vaudevillians
Like Dawson and Wilder are definitely good and while I do like surprise upsets, it's a little weird to have a lower tier heel tag team kinda come out of nowhere and win after they did that with Blake and Murphy
Plus the Vaudevillians are fan favorites and have been around for quite a while and giving them a run of only 3 months seems kinda shitty and underwhelming
The Vaudevillains are probably turning heel again soon.
Makes sense, so they can feud with Cass and Enzo
But they never really worked that well as heels for me. Their gimmick is so inherently goofy and fun that it is hard to not cheer them. Like I get they're the Vaudevillians but they never really felt like bad guys to me
Ok so I'm catching up on NXT and this Samoa Joe/Balor confrontation to end the episode totally fits into my current headcanon. How?
1. 5 refs went to the ring to try and stand between both guys, and at first I was confused why Finn got 3 refs yelling at him and Joe only had 2, but then I realized Drake Younger was one of the two refs.
2. How does Joe create an opening to attack Finn? By taking out the only person who could stop him first: Drake Younger.

Fav wrestling matches that aren't WWE, 2015 Edition:
Shinsuke Nakamura vs Kota Ibushi
Okada vs AJ Styles

Zack Sabre Jr vs Ricochet (BOLA)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrM9K3sq8bU (Pentagon Jr vs Bestia 666)
Have a lot more than that, but if I had to limit it to just 5, that's it for this year. Stellar year for non-WWE
