I need to write a new recruitment post for the holidays. I'm thinking of keeping it shorter, sweeter, and way less earnest this time. Welcoming any suggestions.
Awesome, still have a phobos fit and ready in VFK. Are hictors other than broadswords useful now?
They're garbage at the moment, but in December they get a warp scramble effect added to their focused point. That gives them the longest scram in the game, which does terrible nasty things to a lot of the elite pvp kiting fits. Also probably leads to more things getting tackled in fleet fights.
Someone (not me) pressed button on your application!
I'm not an FPS fan, but if it ever makes it to the PC I'll give it a try.
From what I've heard (take with a grain of salt; information may be out of date), CCP effectively nerfed the interfacing between DUST and EVE:O through a series of unrelated game design choices. Examples include not having any say where in FW space the fight happens and a system that made "owned" planets unassailable. Your could be in Minmatar FW, the Minmatar and the Amarr could be having an week long battle for a system, and you could play all week... and never have a fight in that system.
That said, I've heard that providing orbital strikes, and hunting people providing orbital strikes, can be fun. And, let me reiterate... my information is at least a year out of date.
I learned to fly a Moros class dreadnaught for the express purpose of glassing planets full of Playstation players in Dust. It was all a lie. 100% lie.
Also, any publisher that makes a game Playstation exclusive makes me hold that shop in utter contempt. It's the exact opposite effect than what they are going for... not only am I not going to buy a PS to play your shitty game, I'm now going to go out of my way to speak ill of your product.

Merch Industrial Management Consulting Monthly Report: November 2015
For nearly 60 years, decision makers in the public and private sectors have turned to MRCHI, an independent subsidy of the WANG group, for objective analysis and effective solutions that address the challenges facing the nation and the world. These challenges include such critical social and economic issues as education, poverty, crime, and the environment, as well as a range of national security issues. MRCHI researchers and analysts continue to be on the cutting edge of their fields, working with decision makers in both the public and private sectors to find solutions to today's difficult, sensitive, and important problems. The high caliber of our researchers is well-known, as evidenced by the many Nobel Laureates who have been affiliated with MRCHI, either as employees, consultants, or in an advisory capacity. Through our dedication to high-quality and objective research and analysis and with sophisticated analytical tools developed over many years, MRCHI engages clients to create knowledge, insight, information, options, and solutions that will be both effective and enduring.
Merch Industrial Management Consulting is well known for stepping forward at various times of controversy in the history of the alliance formerly known as Goonswarm. We are shocked and dismayed at the behaviour of some other partner corporations, who have been whispering about the burdensome new regulations foisted upon them by The Mittani. We in Merch Industrial, on the other hand, love paperwork and wish to take this opportunity to provide leadership for our partners and critics alike.
For those who are not aware, our relationship with Goonswarm began when Deadtear, then an Executive Recruiter for the newly-formed RSF, contacted our Penny Arcade office to develop a strategic plan for ice mining and dreadnought construction in Scalding Pass. Ever since, we have helped guide the strategic development of OHGOD, LODRA, and CONDI, to the point where we are now the oldest serving original partner corporation (thanks, Kartoon).
Notable early contributions include:
Introductions, Salutations, and Forgiveness: Proper Communication via Unsolicited Private Messages (Rob Gee, 2007)
Affiliation with Goonwaffe in a Post Mittani World (Director Team, 2007)
Spatial Analysis of New Eden Grids (Hrin, 2007)
Offensive Logistics: The C3N Tower Drop (Zareph, 2009)
Importing XML Data, Spreadsheets, and You (Kais Fiddler 2010)
Bold Actions, Random Kills: Lessons Learned from Lowsec (Dabigredboat, 2013)
Carrier Ratting: A How To Guide on Welping Carrier Fleets to ESS (Niomi Kunst, 2014)
We especially would like to thank the Reddit ‘community’ for highlighting some additional past efforts of ours over the past month. The resulting clicks have brought in
USD through referral links, advertising revenue, our holdings in TheMittaniDotCom LLC shares, revenue sharing agreements, and royalties. In lieu of distributing these funds to our members via our regularly scheduled holiday bonus, our Human Resources department has suggested (by email, from their yacht) that we include in this monthly report a special thanks to our directors, executives, and interns for all of their hard work:
CEO Anehiixii has been providing excellent leadership since his hostile takeover last month.
Managing Director Mordoc, along with Consultants Niomi Kunst and Danyael Tyren, have had a ballooning budget that includes, at last count, a Nyx-class Supercarrier and several dozen towers, as well as our corporate flagship, the Short Bus. They assure us that nothing could possibly go wrong.
Ralotil, Official Corporate Motivational Speaker, has willingly presented at multiple events organized by Social Coordinator Dabigredboat. New Interns Visakoth, Dhalphir, Somme, and Dhaos are the only ones to attend.
Rising quickly through the ranks, Myrddin Calyx, newly promoted President of RMT Records (a fully owned Merch Industrial Management Consulting subsidary) has continued to produce an incredible amount of both training and propoganda tools.
Senior Vice-President Anschau hosted TMC shareholders at Goonbase 1. He has not been seen since.
Kachiko Sama, Chief Operating Officer European Division, continued to exceed expectations, billing approximately 150% hours more than his freedom-embracing counterparts.
Managing Director Kael Attrell, Executive Vice President Dokar Durinia, and Consultants Effin Fetcher and Altarn Ramos continue to successfully branch out into new business opportunities. They have discovered an ingenious method of using billable hours from their soccer car videos to pay for the continuous and unimpeded delivery of memo after memo to our competitors at R/EVE.
Gila Requisition Specialist Yossarian Washburne, from his office in the basement, continues to attempt to recruit team members for random projects that no one understands or is interested in. The latest one seems to involve sharks.
Mort, Executive VP Pacific Division, requests that it is difficult to contact other teams when literally none of them are in his time zone.
Daedelus Oneill (ex-Director, current Trade and Market Analyst), who is German, appears to have misunderstood a memo asking for clarification on his employment status as a memo asking for two Bowheads in Empire space. Merch Industrial Management Consultants has placed Daedelus in charge of a working group to determine what, if anything, can be done with the two Bowheads we now have in Empire space.
Head of Corporate Contracting Korvalain has received an official warning once again, this time after attempting to bill the corp for 100 billion isk for 10 Sabres.

So it's been... five years since I last logged in. Haha. I'd like to see what's up in Eve, get my main on some more interesting agile pvp action (and of course join in on big ops when available), and perhaps... possibly... rat it up with mentakona? Is he still alive? This is Blaize. My eve character name is Blaize. And my alt, also re-activated, is Aegis Caeliferum. If I could get those two invites that would be awesome. They're both in Deklein, MZ1E-P. I used to post on the forum account 'Athaedos' here, but it seems that account is tied to an e-mail address that no longer exists. Old hotmail account, lol. Let me know if I should see what I can do to fix that, it seems I made this account around the time I last posted with that one, for whatever reason. Don't ask me, that was four years ago! Looking forward to possibly having fun with this.

Yay!
Turns out that our HR director @Ellthiteren just departed on a weeklong trip through frozen roads and pristine wilderness. I'll see if there's anyone around I can raise to check your application out in the meantime. Be patient.
And yes, mentakona still exists.
For business reasons, I must preserve the outward sign of sanity.

Today, in addition to processing your application, I drove for 9 hours and saw 5 bison and 1 fox.
FYI your Blaize character looks like a bastard child of Kais Fiddler and Anehiixii (as they are in real life, not in game).
That's awesome-- was it like a white arctic fox or did it have a darker fur color? I worked up at Mt. Rainier National Park several summers. Bison country is no joke. And good to know Blaize's facial features are not entirely esoteric. I think I'll add a little something to my biography.
Hey guys, I've had an off and on trial thing with EVE for the past couple years, but now I've knuckled down and I'm in for a 6 month long haul. I'd like to sign up with your crew and get to crackn' skulls! My EVE name is Krosius Vert-Kros.

We did a rescue op to lowsec, where we got MY CLAYMORE and met up with Krosius and then fled bravely back to our home station of D2-H0S. Halfway there I noticed that Krosius was missing. Whoops. I don't usually lose the new guys, I swear. He caught up eventually and we got to safety. Effin was dualboxing his hardcore seasonal diablo 3 character and, sadly, managed to not die in either game.
Three fleets last night, all of which were blessedly short with no hostile presence in sight. Seriously, like 15 minutes each. So I played a lot of not-EVE instead - the MRCHI Rocket League team continues to be awesome, I think we went 4-3 last night.
The deployment south saw a lot more action, including successfully completing several strategic objectives and then exploding in glorious fire because hey why not.

Also, are Oneiros still useful? I started flying one just before my last pre-re-sub period but I don't think I ever got to actually use it.

Yes but we tend to use our shield doctrines more than our armor doctrines, at least at the moment.

Cool, your post history checks out, will click button when I get home from work in ~3.5 hours!
Once accepted, you'll get an evemail with all sorts of info. Just ask in jabber if you need anything else.
Current spaceships of choice include the fantastically wang shaped Phobos; enjoy!
I'm also not kidding about soccer cars, its the best.
