I'm a weeping mess right now, trying to scrounge the internet that maybe this is some big hoax. But Bowie was my hero. His music and videos had a vibe with the way my mind works and the way I see the world. For every emotional state I might be in, there was a song or video that matched up. And I'm still wiping tears from my face but I hope I'm the one to post this video, where you can see him having a fun time dancing in a barn.
Is it weird that the first thing I think of when I think about David Bowie is the song of his that was in Frequency?
some of the bowie memories I keep coming back to are playing his songs in guitar hero and rock band, so I don't think it's any weirder than thinking of one of the hundreds of movies or tv shows that used his music, or the ones that used them brilliantly
the "wham bam thank you ma'am" in suffragette city in the first rock band is one of those moments in that game that makes you realize how rad it is just to...play music, even if you're only approximating it with plastic instruments, it's still like..."oh. oh."
