Freeplay Stage?

in PAX South
I can't seem to find out what a Freeplay Stage is? Is this where someone is playing Guitar Hero on stage or games like CSGO?

    on some of the games you can make your own answers and that can get "Rated R/X" fairly easy if people aren't watching what they say
