I hope hope hope there's a line of dialogue where it goes "I might not be Mr. Right, but I am Mr. Right *kapow*" gunshot sound because it's a play on Mr. Right Now and they can even have that SR-71 song playing in the background to really get the point across, totally fucking nailed that.
The image of someone being attacked by gang members while trying to do some illicit praying in a back alley is straight out of a parody. That movie looks amazingly dumb.

Well its also selling some kind of "wrestling is real" thing so I don't know which part is worse, that god wants you to beat up minorities dressed as a lucha or that this was most likely Hot Rod's last movie.

I like that the warehouse scene looks like a live action take from the Arkham games. But whoever is controlling Batfleck sucks because he clearly got struck by a knife, thus dropping his combo.

Not one of the Batman vs. Superman trailers has made me want to see the movie.
I think it's an incredible artistic achievement. Nobody else has managed to use audio-visual media to perfectly capture the experience of explosive diarrhea.
This trailer and movie, in one form or another, has been doing the round for what seems like years now. What's the deal?
It had it's debut at TIFF last year (I think... at least the screening I went to didn't have the director present as he had to fly out to LA to be present for bidding on the movie after the first TIFF screening's buzz). Still just titled HARDCORE at that point though. I guess it's gotten picked up for distribution.
It was alright. Very, very videogamey not just in the first person conceit but in the story, structure and characters as well. It's literally like watching a friend play a video game. Like... it almost has levels, in a way? Interesting. If the trailer looks like something you'd like, you probably will. But I doubt it will win anyone over, y'know?

John Wick in first person, what's not to love! I suppose the world building won't be quite up to snuff possibly, but meh.
It looks like an awful FPS game. But it's a movie.
I watched this Extra Credits video a few days ago and there's a point in it where he discusses how a first person perspective could do some pretty neat things for a movie, using Call of Duty as a potential example franchise. Have the movie's purpose be to get across every aspect of the job of a solider. The fighting and terrifying combat stuff, yes, but also training, downtime, patrols, etc. Use the medium to show a general audience something that they probably have no experience with or even comprehension of. I went away from that video actually wanting a Call of Duty movie in that style. It could be a pretty cool thing.
Hardcore Henry does not look like a pretty cool thing.
