This will be the last Democratic Primary thread until 2023. Think about that.

It's also ignoring the cold hard factual truth that Hillary will be impeached, indicted, and sentenced to mega jail for life as soon as her right hand is lowered.

This forum will be the staging ground where we fight back. Like Morse code in ID4, an ancient form of communication to let others know how to kill the ancient ones who destroy everything in their paths.

Over 15 would be kinda crazy imo. Though if those exits at 75-25 for black voters bear out, it's certainly possible. It would also show real regression for Sanders among black voters which I guess makes sense to me given how awful his messaging has been.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone tried.

Unless there's something specifically in the party rules saying no primaries for a sitting President.

The 538 polling average had it at 15, and I tend to think the polling will overcount Sanders voters who aren't registered D properly.

There aren't necessarily rules against it, but its really hard to primary a sitting anything let alone a president.

Aw the closing down of the last thread ate my post.

I was all making a point about how there are different degrees of international military intervention and the US assumption of a saviour/police complex is pretty harmful. ('Syrian opposition calls for international intervention' became 'Syrian victims begging for US invasion' for some reason?)

I'm pretty critical of Sanders' foreign policy stance though. His idea of "letting the muslim countries fight it out among themselves" is just dumb, and sounds kinda racist. And the way he talks about the issues just makes me think he refuses to see the complexity of international relations.

It has happened before. It sounds like a dumb idea though, way too high a chance of giving up the presidency.

Which is why Sanders couldn't get anyone to do it in 2012.

Its the kind of thing that destroys parties way more than anything Trump or NeverTrump could do to the GOP

a president that weak to their own party probably isn't beating any republican challenger anyway

Based on what has already been stated from the exits, your guess on the white vote lets you run the math. Sanders would need to be +13 -ish with whites to make it a 50/50 race if the exit polls are accurate for Latinos and blacks.

They don't have to weak, all the challenger needs to do is break off enough voters or cause like minded voters to sit it out - and it may be enough to lose. Even vote counts, after all. This is not good when the opposition is unified.
