I have investigated the VERY ADULT Harvest Moon most patroned Patreon game that Quinns was talking about in this episode of Daft Souls.
Among other things, there is a "Neoteny" option which, in this case, means "old soul in an underage body" and it is super creepy.
Some good and important information on the top of this page.
oh hey i didn't even notice that game in the video preview, wow
yeah it's not a very good game you'd be better served just looking at the sprite art on the blog and finding the occasional thing you can just page down away from

Holy shit. Stellaris has some straight up Star Trek Episodes in it!
One of my science ships began exploring a planet and disappeared. It instantly reappeared in some sliver dimension surrounded by tons of varied ships. After a few seconds is disappeared again and was returned to its original location. However half the crew was missing.
I was like, WTF? Okay whatever. Hit the resume time button and about two days later I get another notice. While still investigating the area the anomaly happened, the science ship detected another ship appear. It was strange but somehow similar. They were hailed by the missing science crew aboard the other ship. They reported that they don't remember what happened but want to rejoin.
You then get the option to welcome them back which results in you getting a free science ship that is all ghostlike, or you can fucking opening fire because Jesus where did they get that ghost ship KILL THEM ALL.
Also I've meet three other species nearby. All seem friendly so far. Hoping to form my rip off Federation with them. The attack on the Pirate base went well and I've begun building on Alpha Centauri III by upgrading their main city and building a spaceport. They also have a small defense fleet in orbit as well as a defense platform that launches tiny Starfighters.
There is still one of the four closest systems to Earth un surveyed but there is a huge fuck off crystalline entity there that is four times more powerful than my entire fleet. I'm giving it a wide berth but I'm researching destroyers.
Oh an I'm also observing two primitive cultures. One in the medieval period and one in the steam period.

Last Friday's UPF was pretty good as far as Premium goes.

UPF 3/4/2016 has Johnny V's outstanding Marlon Brando as E-Sports announcer impersonation, amongst him and Jeff ruminating on crazy old days shit in the industry.

Really? That's a shame.
Quinns seemed to think the alpha build looked promising.

as time has gone on i have realized that i have a hugely different definition of quality than quinns does
but yeah, any other year, maybe you could have gotten me to say "well, it's okay, i guess", but this is a post-stardew valley world where we've seen what one person can do in mimicry of a farm game
this is just a bad spreadsheet game, attached to a bad visual novel, attached to good pornographic spritework. and i've seen how far it has come since its inception, and the gameplay is borderline unchanged from the initial version over two years ago
that said i think it is nice to have a greater variety of adult games that weren't just made in a day to cash in on newgrounds ad money, it's a niche scene that hasn't been supported in the western world to the degree that it has overseas
6/6/2014 has moments in which it is hard to breathe during the Tomodachi Life bit (starts at ~13 minutes, goes for almost an hour.)
10/31/2014 is funtimes
which one had that horror game that played around with files -- a first person maze, a face that followed you -- and then another game with visuals that were sorta... staticy and popped into environment as you moved? (ah, nvm, that was 5/24/2013.)
i enjoy whenever they've played Ultimate Chicken Horse, too.
In a comic released after the end of Uncharted 4, it will be revealed that Sully went insane as a result of the events of the game and was put in an institution.

This game is pretty great.
Yeah, the devs making it are definitely big 'ol nerds like us. There are references at one level or another to pretty much any major sci-fi property since the 60s. I can't wait to get some time to play it.
