Ok, the news post for this one makes it so much better.
"If complete and utter chaos was lightning, then he'd be the sort to stand on a hilltop in a thunderstorm wearing wet copper armour and shouting 'All gods are bastards'."
Man, if Tycho could hop off the curb and not get all the way to the street, that would actually be super fucking impressive.
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy states: "There is an art to flying, or rather a knack. Its knack lies in learning to throw yourself at the ground and miss."
That's the mark of a good trainer. Don't force them past their limits, ease them up to those limits, then find a way to gently ease them past those limits.

Yeah, I actually really appreciated how the trainer guy was being cool about it.
I'm not 100% sure why Jerry would be filled with rage at the end. Just accept it and celebrate that by staying out of the sun and doing nerdy stuff instead, you won't actually be stifling them. Your dad took you fishing because he LIKED that kind of stuff. That's bad enough when the kid doesn't, but don't go fishing when both you AND he don't like it. Sit inside with the A/C and play some vidya games!

Well, halfway up.
Yeah, but which half?
That's exactly what I was thinking of there.
