Cut the Cable (TV) - need advice on DVR
Recently we cut the cable cable...cable tv cable? Whatever.
We no longer pay 150+ bucks a month for 2935 channels - like 8 of which we watch.
We have Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Video Prime, and something called SlingTV - which streams live TV of various channels. We also plan to get a HD antenna for the local stuff.
My question is: Can we get a DVR and use it to record some of these streamed shows while they are live, and what should I be looking for in such a device?

There's a few pieces of software that I know that can do this, a few are .. not something I'd want to install. I don't know of any hardware device that can do this though, it'd be impossible to capture from a smart TV, and sort of a small nightmare to do it with your computer in terms of hardware.
