I have this recollection of a scifi movie that i can't remember. Or maybe it was a video game. Or maybe i dreamed it. I sure would like to know which is it.
It's some lady piloting a spaceship remotely via some VR interface from a hotel lobby. Power goes out and her conciseness is stuck in the ship and nobody in her physical nearby knows what to do about it. Then the spaceship goes through a worm hole and is somewhere completely distant, none of the stars are recognisable. She passes through a tail of a comet and soon after, some systems start randomly failing. Turns out it's some kind of aliens (maybe it's something from the Aliens franchise?) and she has to run away and then do something with the controls to expunge them from where she is. Eventually she somehow gets back to Earth and nobody believes her. The hotel + vr part might be my brain altering the story. Feels like something i watched or played though...
