McConaughey's death in that was really cheap. Sure he got eaten by a dragon, but it was all "guys, check this out, I'm gonna go out in a blaze of glory that lasts 1 second yaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr*eaten*"

Y'all know me. Know how I earn a livin'. I'll catch this bird for you, but it ain't gonna be easy. Bad fish. Not like going down to the pond and chasing bluegills and tommycocks. This shark, swallow you whole. No shakin', no tenderizin', down you go. And we gotta do it quick, that'll bring back your tourists, put all your businesses on a payin' basis. But it's not gonna be pleasant. I value my neck a lot more than three thousand bucks, chief. I'll find him for three, but I'll catch him, and kill him, for ten. But you've gotta make up your minds. If you want to stay alive, then ante up. If you want to play it cheap, be on welfare the whole winter. I don't want no volunteers, I don't want no mates, there's too many captains on this island. Ten thousand dollars for me by myself. For that you get the head, the tail, the whole damn thing.
Better? Also, it would have sounded a little differently if I disscussed McConaughey dying in somthing and showed a pic of a shirtless Bale. Truth be told though, I could see it happening
So you take Thom out to the set while I burn and verify these... dragons!
Is your name from that northern lights series? God I love how the catholics causing an uproar and hoo hah and such completely miss the point of that series being anti-higher up catholic church (vatican etc) and not actually against religion itself.
Fuck yeah dragons are awesome. Too bad there as so few good video games and/or movies about them. (You know what? Recommend me some kick-ass dragon stuff to play and/or watch, folks. That'd be much appreciated.)
You know what's awesome? On National Dungeons & Dragons day I hung out at my favorite local game shop (it has delicious food, nice owners, and relatively few neckbeards) and played some D&D with my peeps. Anyway, the shop had a raffle, and I won the grand prize, this kick-ass thing:
Hells yeah it's a Colossal Red Dragon figure, to scale with the other D&D minatures you can buy. This thing is really well-made and looks totally awesome. It also weighs at least 15 pounds and the spines on its back are actually sharp. Kick-ass and dangerous!
It currently lords over my room from high atop my desk. It doesn't have the fire (which is removable) in its mouth, so it looks like it is roaring and/or screaming out some kick-ass metal lyrics.
And this awesome event involves hundreds of game stores across the nation and world showing off new D&D stuff (this year was tiny sneak peeks at 4e), a pre-made mini-campaign with free miniatures and even more minatures given out as prizes.
Many stores do their own other events as well, like costume contests, raffles, sales, etc. If you have an awesome game store in your area, you should go! (Next year, since it already happened this year....)

Yup, it's a huge event put on my WotC.
It's actually called Worldwide D&D Game Day.
