Well this took several godamn months, between me messing up, ordering new paint, and the weather not playing nice. It's far from perfect and I keep fixating on the little imperfections.
A trick to painting white from a mini painter is to build it up in intermediate steps. So go from black to medium grey to a very light grey to white, and do so in very thin coats.
I can paint up an example for you this weekend if you want.

So I just finished Iron Blooded Orphans.
I don't wanna get the thread in trouble so I wont go on at length. Basically, I thought season 1 was rather good, and season 2 wasn't that great but had some real good robit designs and fights.
So basically a less severe version of my opinions on the two Build Fighters seasons.
Guess I ought to hope they never make a Unicorn season 2
The next season better be in the same verse so we get more
Next season? I thought IBO was done. We might get more kits from the manga but I think we'll see a different asthetic for whatever gundam gets made next.

They've already confirmed they're doing a new UC thing. With that Alex gundam or whatever.
I like IBO's look a lot too but it's getting pretty saturated. We're gonna have 40 HGs out of it when it's all said and done I think, plus all those 1/100 kits.

I think Twilight Axis is just a movie, not a series.

I keep seeing it referenced as an ONA so it might be the same format/release schedule as something like Thunderbolt.
like as much as I like my 1/144 Flight and Perfect packs G Self, a G Self where the legs can articulate to depict an accurate level of "I am a giant humanoid robot in flight" would be nice
Both because it looks kind of silly (what's the trunk for?)
And because the pose they have it in for the main picture on Amazon is friggin adorable (for a giant killer robot designed to be a mobile artillery piece).
Imma blow you up now.
Is that okay?
+1

I built this! It was difficult! The ribs and other bone pieces largely do not stay where they should!
Almost there
But it's done finally, and I'm happy with it.
Nightingale R-35
Nice work!

Behold my stand
[dear god why did I choose white]
[G r a z e W u l f]
It shows in some places
I didnt have primer (still too cold to spraypaint) so everything on it just rubs right off if I fuck with it too much

God I want that transport unit
it was literally a sword delivery system
s2 was real bad about that

I am all about this for many reasons but hey, in-universe mobile suit engineers: just build a space ship.
