Yeah, I’m not a huge fan of how after you unlock an allied race you have to start from scratch at level 20. It would be nice if that was a option, but letting you change an exsisting max level character to its associated allied race would also be nice.
I’d like it more of my Druid was a Highmountain Tauren, but I don’t want to level one all over again.
Man I'm still hoping that Vol'jin faked his death/comes back from the dead somehow.
I feel like he should at least show up as a loa spirit to clarify why the hell he put sylvanas in charge, because he got such a short end of the stick from a writing standpoint and that’s a bit of a dangling thread from the legion launch that is very relevant now
So take it with a grain of salt because it still hasn't been Officially Announced yet and right now it's just dude asks J Allen Brack, other dude (with a press badge and who runs a site for Blizzard-centric podcasts, so a bit more trustworthy) asks Brack to confirm, then tells Wowhead, but
Antorus supposedly releases on the 28th. So 7.3.2 on the 14th or 21st probably? (I'm dumb and forgetful).
I forget the dates of things: does this line up with the 77day schedule?

You can race change an existing race into one of the new ones provided you have the new race unlocked, you just won't be able to get the race specific xmog
For example:
You want to play as the Highmountain Tauren. The prerequesite for that is at least one character with exalted Highmountain Tauren on either faction. Ok you do that (I'm guessing most have that already).
Now your choice is:
- Race change any of your existing characters that are lvl 20 or higher using built in race change services
- Make a new character that's a Highmountain Tauren, and will start out at lvl 20. Should you lvl this character to 110, you will unlock a special Highmountain flavored xmog that you can only use on they character. You cannot use it on any other character, even if you have other Highmiuntain tauren of either type. This is something they put in to reward the people actually leveling as the new race from scratch (lvl 20 and lvl 1 are almost the same thing, really, at this point, the only reason they start out at 20 is so Blizz didn't have to make starting zones for them).
I’d rather not have to race change though, because I’m cheap. I’d like to be able to take en existing Tauren character I have and go to the barber shop and change him to a Highmountain. Similar to how they said they will do the Orc spine adjustments.

They said somewhere in there that we'd be learning more about Voljin in the expansion. I wonder if Sylvanas is going to get a redemption story where she decides to embrace the Horde for realsies
Were you there during the first kill for the Beasts, Gev? I don't recall who was there.
Of course I was, it was a proper shitshow

is that patch going to come with antorus opening, I got the impression 7.3.5 was further out than that
because when antorus opens would be when people would come back I think
herald of the titans is still available in the game, you can go and get it today if you have an appropriately geared level 80 character and a raid group that is also level 80

yeah i actually got this achievement with some friends during WoD. it's kind of neat that the achievement still exists in such a fashion and it would be cool if some others did, too. even though a lot of things have changed over the course of the game, the fight still was challenging at the appropriate character and item level. i'm curious if other fights translate as well as that one.

I never bothered to calculate it ever, where does this new information fall on the "77 days" cycle.
also yeah, we already got the patch that IIRC said "added antorus so it can be opened when it needs to be opened" or whatever
Well the 77 day cycle thing kind of works less for raid tiers, since they don't seem to be as tied to patch releases
No idea how they're gonna handle hard modes though
Firefighter
FUCK YEAH

We were working this fight more than 8 years ago.
8 years.
this is a cool video about Vol'jin
You weren't there, man.
YOU DON'T KNOW.

my ally guild gave up pretty quickly
Well, the mimiron hard mode. Because hard modes had to specially activated and were quite a bitch to do.
Shambles Milk in it's current form turns 10 years old today-ish! I wanna do celebration stuff but maybe wait till the expac brings folks back around

Based on how some items activate or scale we are definitely not at the lower level in timewalking
