Not only is he a genius, he's good looking, incredibly sociable, can drink like a fish and the ladies adore him. He got a full ride (including housing) to UCLA Law and decided that maybe it wasn't for him after a year in. He called up a place he had done an internship and within a week was making more money than me. That Guy.
Oh, and UCLA Law is just keeping his offer/scholarship good for him in case he decides to come back.
