I was discussing with a guy at work about my rifles, and other rifles of WW2, and he said He was looking for a 30 caliber carbine. I asked if it was the M1A1, but he says that's not what he's thinking of. So I'm just wondering, is there a 30 cal. carbine, and not the Garand?

    There's also the M2, and M3, each with different variations. The M1A1 had the folding metal stock, and the M3 had a scope.
