Maybe it's just me and my tubes, but up until yesterday, the red icons went "yellow" if I clicked on that thread, refreshed, and there were no new posts.
Now, it stays red.
Was something changed? Is anyone else experiencing this?
For example, it just happened with this thread. I created the thread, clicked the link back to the "Monkey Den" index, clicked on this thread, and clicked on the link back to the "Monkey Den" index again. It reloaded and the icon is still red. I refreshed a few times, still red.

This happened to me one time, but it went away pretty quickly. Unless it keeps up, I'd guess it's some kind of glitch on your end.
This has happened on my end for ages. Threads won't be marked as read until I actually click on it, or I hit the "Mark All Topics as Read" link. It's been this way for as long as I can remember.
Used to happen to me too, but not in the last month. I'm guessing it's a session issue.

Clearing my cookies and cache works to fix it, but I hate when it happens.

Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
It happens all the time in Firefox. Restarting Firefox fixes it. It can be a pain with 2.0 if yhou have it set to remember your open tabs as you have to close every tab.
