However, one of the major points raised in the video I linked is that you cannot ease traffic congestion by building more roads. When you build more roads, more cars use them, which simply increases the number of cars on all roads at any one time, and instead of reducing congestion on the initial problem road, whoops all of a sudden now you just have more roads that are badly congested.
Mass transit is the only real solution to congestion, and to really fix the road congestion issues places like Los Angeles suffer will require societal overhaul.
Now in Albuquerque when you have idiots in charge of the city DOT and State DOT you have problems the video I posted earlier is one of the many roads the State has messed up or half assed causing more and more problems I could post something like 20+ videos showing it and tons of articles
ABQ on the other hand with it's buses is a whole mess. the ART in the TLDR version. First was going to be drone buses in a locked circuit {that fell through because it was not ready} so it went onto full electric buses. They got junk. So now it's the diesel electric type. This is really a mess on several levels
I do agree mass transit is far better even in a city that built up because of the advent of the car like ABQ. You really need to think of routes with different types of vehicles. As a large bus kind of doesn't work in some areas a smaller shuttle or drone would work
I started watching the Let's Play from the beginning, as is right and proper, and I want to say that it is both amusing and informative with lots of factoids about the game's development and various features of the game alongside the jokes. And also, what they start doing in Episode 4 is amazing:
They are playing each mission three different ways, and editing them together to show how the game allows for all kinds of approaches to completing them. There's the "Big Boss" route which is adhering to stealth and non-lethal engagement, the "Venom Snake" route which is more aggressive and violent but still utilizes (different) stealth approaches, and then the "Vapor Snake" route which seems like just showing how goofy the game can be.
