I have not watched the video yet, because it is 2.5 hours long holy shit Shaun.
I'm down for a breadtube 2.5 hour video, but the topic at hand is just so dry, and Shaun isn't interested in making it more interesting to watch.
I tapped out about ten minutes in, and unless people start talking like it's the best video ever I probably won't go back

I will say that if nothing else, I feel extremely vindicated that the plant-growth example he uses for heritability at 45:00 is almost the same as the way I've explained heritability to people, despite having come up with it independently.
Shaun's thing of making a youtube video but actually it's a solo podcast is just unbearable to me. I don't even have the patience to listen to fun podcasts!

Does he have a podcast? That would actually be way more convenient for me.
I find Shaun to be fine to listen to, but I understand it's not the most audience-friendly style. I don't think it'd work as a podcast, because I don't think we'd get the (generally) precise arguments in a stream-of-consciousness form.

Then I don't understand the distinction between "Shaun video that's mostly talking" and "Shaun podcast that's mostly talking"
