Is there a graphics setting to turn down the...extra of everyone’s spell effects, but keep my own? Doing Copied Factory each week is like watching a fireworks factory explode for 30 minutes.
Yep. Character Config > Control Settings > Character > Battle Effect Settings I think. You can customize it pretty heavily.
in practice though the options boil down to "full effects" and "effects off", the middle setting is a lie
Soooooo the new robot suit mount is from winning 100 games of the new frontline.
So uh, sorry for the folks excited for that.
Ahahahahaha.... Well, that just means expect premades to be stomping it for the next couple weeks. I still don't know why rival wings never got added to the roulette, its more fun than frontlines.
I wonder if I should try BLU again. I fell off in the first week after the first time I ran a dungeon I hate to try and get a spell to no avail. But they fixed that, so maybe I can get through it.

lol no I'm good
Not only does it have to be done in an all BLU group, but you can't use undersized party (so no lvl 60 in bahamut), and you have to turn on silence echo (so no echo bonus).
At least now, at level 60 with itemlevel 260 gear, I can walk into these level 50 dungeons and solo them a lot easier than before. Especially when mobs are level 50 so they're vulnerable to Level 5 Petrify -> Whistle -> Drill Cannons combo.
So BLU 50-60 went by real quick. Course it doesn't hurt that the leveling group I found had an 80 DRK following us around to instagib everything the party tagged.

I just joined the Grand Company that's basically pirates.
And I finally got a chocobo.
Now Imma go learn how to be a bard.
Bard is rad! It's slow to develop, like all classes, but starts to get tricky at 52 and I really enjoy it in endgame. Hopefully you like playing whackamole, as it has a lot of procs.

It is important for new players to provide their reactions in the thread as they go through the story. You have made a good choice with the best dressed pirates (there is an NPC who sells the fancier versions of the Limsa Lominsa Grand Company gear).
hey they fixed the nier outfits' transparent materials to actually be transparent and not just cheating solid textures that only look right on white skin tones
So, I just checked Party Finder, got into an all-BLU party, killed second boss of Sunken Temple (Hard), and got a spell. On a Japanese data center where all I communicate was (Let's do it!) and (Good game!). Now I've gone from mostly ignoring the job out of not having anything to do with it, to clearing over 20 Masked Carnival fights and collecting 53/80 spells and counting. It's turning out more entertaining than anticipated.
Also, even level-synced down to 50, four blue mages running a dungeon basically melt everything in their path, with little danger of dying when a single BLU can full-heal the entire party with one cast.

There are only 2 spells that have any challenge for a full blue party and that's Devour if no one has aethermimickry for tank and J Kick. Otherwise they're all pretty simple.

How common are glamour prisms later in the game? I greatly prefer eye patches for my pirate bard over most of the other head gear.
Cheap and abundant. Also you can create Glamour Plates when you're in an inn room that are outfits you can put over whatever your current gear is, that only cost you a prism when you initially place the item into the pool that can be drawn from to make the plate, but don't cost you prisms when you apply that plate to an outfit. So find an eyepatch you like, make a glamour plate for just that eyepatch, and then apply it to every new piece of headgear you wear if you want.

Who the hell is going to be able to get 24 man groups together for this shit besides, like, popular streamers? Big FCs will do that shit once, maybe.

"Well populated on Japanese servers, no changes needed"?
I mean blue mage is designed to be its own thing. Hell they're adding achievements to complete content as a group of Blue Mages.
It's the exact type of alt-content I'm all in for.

When I first saw the log, I assumed it served as a blue mage duty finder, basically. But reading more closely, I guess that’s not the case?

For a little while to show off the new one, I'd imagine. It'll go back to cycling through all of them eventually.
Well, that's done. Now to see what the rest of all this is.

SE should have made them learn a limit break from a boss. I've been thinking Ecliptic Meteor from King Behemoth in Labyrinth would have been perfect.
Oh wait, that's higher than level 60. Eh, still want it anyway.
