13 games over the span of two decades plus has given players a lot of charming locales to play the lovable rogue and sip some hot coffee in-between crimes. Where would you hang your ski-mask up at if given the choice?

Secretly the best GTA Multiplayer is in IV. You go into a Mafiya Work lobby with friends set it to the maximum cash limit and turn off all the HUD indicators you can as well as autoaim. Every objective becomes a mad scramble because your only indicator that another player is near is somebody driving erratically or shooting at you or both. Simple things like stealing a car and dropping it off somewhere or escorting somebody across Algonquin become this slapstick Spy VS Spy back and forth where there's just a conga line of people getting hit with cars and blown up with rocket launchers. It's a real bummer that they ditched that mode in V for a series of instanced lobbies.

It also makes for a better satire of America and capitalism than anything else in the series. Going forward from the single player in IV I couldn't bring myself to make random id fueled rampages part of my save file. I played through that game like a crime movie that occasionally turned into a movie about a guy stealing a cop car and becoming a drunken Slavic vigilante. In Mafiya Work though I would boot an old lady in the face to steal her rusted out sedan if it meant I could get to an objective quicker and murder my friends over $200.

I've only ever played GTA multiplayer for one game, GTA V. It was fun for a week or two, goofing off with some friends, but none of us had the time or ambition to get invested in it as anything more than a distraction.

I started GTA-5/Online myself recently (thus the impetus of this thread) and I do plan to give a proper go at the latter though by now there's so much to do in Online it's hard to tell where to start outside of the tutorial missions. As for favorite spot, Vice City held this for me. Better then III and while San Andreas was even better, I don't have to worry about the survival-lite features added in that game.

I think liberty city was one of the more interesting places to tourist.
I probably wouldn't want to live in any of them.
Beautiful country rendered in the other games for sure, just less interesting to my Kentucky sensibilities.

    Time to have fun!

Nobody sees a flower really; it is so small. We haven't time, and to see takes time - like to have a friend takes time.

Yeah by the way if anybody answers Carcer City to this poll they should be on a list somewhere. I say this as somebody who played Manhunt to completion. Youtube actually suggested a pretty good video about it to me recently.

As thanks for the ton of players showing up in both GTAO and RDO, Rockstar's giving out some prizes for those that show up during the first two week's of February. GTAO's is straight up cash, handing out a million bucks for each week you play in.

I’m predicting that GTA VI will be at least 300GB.
