New Secret Lair drop coming January 27th, "Year of the Rat." Comes with 5x Rat Colony, and 1x of each: Marrow-Gnawer, Ink-Eyes, and Pack Rat, all cards are foil with exclusive artwork. $39.99.
Probably worth noting that foil Marrow-Gnawer is currently worth about $50, Ink-Eyes is $25 for the BoK art/$12 for prerelease art, Pack Rat is $9, and Rat Colony about $2.50 each.

Well my first play in Theros Sealed was to go Anax into BR Titan who sacs itself for a mini-Blightning and two Satyr tokens, so I'm pretty happy with this set.
Gary is a jerk and I'm running 4x Hushbringer in my Orzhov Auras deck now
Honestly with the amount of ETB cards and builds that are around at the moment I can absolutely see Hushbringer being a much more popular card
Immediately after reading this I went up against a Temur Elementals deck that played their Risen Reef, hovered the mouse over my Hushbringer for a moment, and then conceded

Ah, the old "My first EDH deck encounters Torpor Orb for the first time."
I'm not interested in value really, I just want good cards in my collection to make cool decks. I sold my collection back in the day, big mistake.
And that's from someone who knows a thing or two about mistakes.

I never sold my old collection, but I also never bought good cards. My 10 year old brain was pretty sure that paying $2 per pack of Homelands, Fallen Empires, or Chronicles got me more cards than paying $3 per pack of Alliances or ~$7 per pack of Revised. Math!

Played 3 games with this sealed deck.
Got 3 concedes.
Seems like once Ashiok hits the field people don't wanna play anymore!
4 concedes
People really don't like ashiok. Just let me get a few turns with them guys!
Whoops finally lost, monkey paw finger curls

yeah, I think most of my decks would fold to Ashiok unless I could find a Banishing Light or other insta-fix for them pretty early.

pretty sweet. Nyx Lotus plus Gadwick plus Kiora/Corridor Monitor plus Thassa's Oracle basically means draw your whole deck have enough mana to play it all and then drop a creature that auto-wins on ETB
It mostly sucks for me playing in these sealed events and not really being able to build a deck that can deal with it. Oh well. I'm going to make a UB control deck to get some sweet satisfaction.
Are there any good places to see lists nowadays before a tournament or MTGO report comes out?
reddit?
pros are generally not gonna post potential tourney lists right when a set gets released

Reddit, Twitch, arenadecklists on Twitter. CFB articles, SCG articles (mostly behind premium). I'm not sure if it's taken off yet but I think some pros have Patreons where they post early lists.

article lists tend to be super speculative and often smack of attempted inflation of under-performing cards OR they're just trying to throw out spicy brews that aren't intended to be t1 competitive

Until tournament results start dropping, I just try out lists from the arenadecklists Twitter that have shown promise, basically I'll try anything that gave someone a hot streak to Mythic or whatever.
6-0 so far with this ridiculous sealed deck ( bout time, I've had some crap pools, I've opened about 13 packs total between sealed and prize packs, and have 4x of Dalakos ..)
The combos are constant and crazy, especially whenever Nightmare Shepard shows up. I've used the same mire's grasp 3 times in a row just saccing storytellers

The mono white devotion deck has hilarious blowouts sometimes but really suffers from losing gas. I don't think it's very good but sometimes you get Alseid of Life's Bounty into Ajani's Pridemate into Linden into Heliod and then you just cackle maniacally.

Had a great time with both my limited decks yesterday. My cards really wanted me to play W/G though. First one earlier in the day was focused on removal and letting Calix pull enchants and then being them all back at once for an easy finish. Evening deck also W/G but went full Voltron Pegasi, something about a flying lifelink vigilance that’s a 10/12 and has counters double on it every turn makes people concede. I lost a single game in both events. To a turn 3 Polukranos. -_-

Weird side note for this:
Aren't those the regions where Lunar New Year is a major thing?

Turns out it was swinging out with all their creatures having +x/+x where X was their devotion to green.
it is almost impossible to beat that card once it hits the board
Actually played against the sphinx mirror match. Eventually my opponent conceded out of frustration.
It's a strong fight between that and Kiora Bests Your Opponent. But at least the saga has the decency to be mythic.
2x force of negation
1x Captain of Eos
1x Wrenn
2x giver of runes
1x echo if eons
1x first sliver
1x seasoned pyro
Plus all the other banging staples.
But, not the store, obviously.

If you're in Seattle you can purchase a promotional burger.
Ashiok is obviously a pescatarian
Life gain is a safe deck early in a new meta. Like how rdw was before you had a million board wipes to pick from
