My daily commute used to consist of a lot of walking. Walking kids to school, walking to the subway, walking from subway to work, etc.
I have been mostly sitting on my fat ass for the past three months.
Went to work today. I drove, as we do have a car and subway still scares me. Not a lot of walking. But I did have to go to a couple of different buildings to get a parking permit.
I am so out of shape. I don't think I could do my normal commute currently.

Yeah, losing my like, mile and a half guaranteed daily walk has been weird
Plus not walking as much because I'm just not going out as much in general
I've been doing a bit more lately but that walking was just... something I did naturally, in a way that forcing myself to do it feels unnatural

I've taken to making sure I walk for at least an hour every day. This last week I'm managing an average of 4 miles a day. I'm hoping to keep that up because I've put on some pounds and I am NOT okay with this whole gut thing.
Early on I was forcing myself to take long evening walks by the bay shoreline to get some exercise. Then in May a few of the bubble tea shops near campus started serving socially distanced takeaway, which has given me an excuse to ride up there most days, and if it’s nice weather I take my laptop and work in a park for a bit. So I’m getting around 10km of light cycling per day, which is about as much as my usual commute.
I really just need to force myself to exercise period. My fat pants are becoming my normal pants and my normal pants are becoming "oh geez I think I need to undo the button on this"
In fact, I'm gonna dig out that Ring Fit doohickey and combine exercise with actually playing a game instead of flicking back and forth between a series of websites looking for any changes. Work ends in about two hours so once that's done, which should give lunch time to settle and me time to find the physical addons, it's game on.

At some point I was nearly getting back into a regular running routine, which I haven’t maintained for nearly two years now. Then I fucked up my sleep schedule a week or two back and have been too tired in the evenings.

I forced myself awake "early" today by scheduling a grocery pickup order for 10am, last night. I knew I would HAVE to get up for that because I ordered perishables. Still couldn't go to sleep until like....5am :C
My sleep schedule is currently in "TurboFucked" mode, where if I'm not careful it can easily turn nocturnal. Every day I stay up an hour later than the previous night.
I do not have a circadian rhythm I have circadian free jazz
I was doing a very good job of working out every day and then I got bored of the workout and now I haven't done it for 3ish weeks and I really gotta get back onto doing something
