when I was in rehab we had music therapy, like they wanted songs that inspire us so we'll change and all.
I always picked a song that I knew would get stuck in my head so I could enjoy it the rest of the day.
one time, I picked Glósóli by Sigur Ros and it gets to like, 4 minutes, when it picks up, and this big black dude, usually very stern, starts quiet hiccup crying
"This is -hip- beautiful, they sound like -hip-hip- some Lord of the Rings shit. They're -hip- marching, going somewhere better."
they didn't allow touching there, really, but I was like "fuck no touching, this guy gets it." and we shared a big hug
I relate this because I am very much in a Glósóli mood.

I saw Sigur Ros twice, and the tour for the album this song is from, Takk, is easily the best concert I've ever seen. I was in tears before the first song was even over.
I was going to learn how to drive at some point but I have the tendency to shutdown suddenly when I am tired so I gave up because I don't want to live in a world where I accidentally mowed people down and have to live with that guilt forever. I guess i am lucky to be born in a place with a decent transport system where I could go almost anywhere with ease.
