It's been a long time since I've had a cat this young but I'm going to take 4hrs in using the box successfully for both #1 and #2, and snuggles/love bites into snoozin' while I play fall guys as a good sign
she hasn't eaten yet but she did find the water and I left some food out while she adjusts, picked her up at almost 8pm so she very well may have eaten already
I'm worried about possibly having to cat proof some cable nests that she is curious about, but ive never had a cat that gave a single solitary shit about them in the past. I suppose I could drape some old sheets over the nests if I need to? there are too many basically all over to feasibly wrap/cover individually
cat update: finally ate w/ wet food, still doesnt give a shit about the dry even though its the same she was already eating at the shelter, but I'll leave some out so its there between morning and evening wet feedings. stopped being up my ass so much after that so I guess she was just hungry
she is starting to climb on stuff I would rather she not so a tree is likely in order
we were just curled up together but I need breakfast too lol

cat has begun using the ladder that access my upper loft area in the apartment where the bed is a) for its intended purpose to snooze up there as it is warm during the day and b) to leap to literally everywhere regardless of how many very expensive boxed video games are on display nearby lol

I have determined that insane kitten mode is how I know she is hungry for morning/evening wet food meal. however this also means I have a furry alarm clock set permanently to 7am
I also stepped out of the house for the first time (20min to grocery store) and she was very afraid of me when I came back for 10-15min or so. I guess she isn't used to someone being there, leaving, and then coming back yet
also I can't seem to find a type of treat she likes? zero interest in dry treat or moist treat. not sure if to try different flavor or brands or what. sort of hard to get her used to positive reinforcement without knowing what type of treat is acceptable.
also about to freak her out with the vacuum for the first time, pray for me friends

Twinkie is getting adopted tomorrow! I discovered he would follow me around whenever I let him out of his room so we've been taking nightly walks around the center:

Stages 7-11 have a bonus cat.
edit: And a brief appearance at stage 6 I just noticed and died to!
E: This isn't the pets thread. But enjoy this chonky boy nonetheless.
