I can't get anything done with her. I never see anyone get anything done with her. She's not a pusher. She's not a tank. She's not a burst assassin. She has no sustain. She's maybe sorta a long term melee area damage, but she has no tank or sustain to maintain it. Her utility seems like a worse version of the tongue grab.
She's an assassin yet I constantly see her with abysmal hero damage, and she doesn't have any pushing, merc camping, or general utility to make up for lack of raw damage.
Maiev is a "play 100 games with a 30% winrate to get a 60% winrate" type hero. Like Genji or Medivh. She's also not a hero that you should really try to play by yourself since the majority of her shit benefits from team play. She gets people locked down into a specific area and then she does insane damage to people in that area.

Good games today with Dibby and Saeris. That last match went on for so long, lol; I missed the Warchief's Blessing buff in Classic by fucking 2 minutes. Rip parses.
that good ol' weekend HotS clown fiesta where both teams keep wiping but neither can capitalize on it so it just drags the fuck out
I've gained a lot of experience as a Tank player recently, and it has increasingly become a role that I'm growing a lot more comfortable and competent with. For a long time, the only Tank I've felt competitive on has been Johanna, because she's very good at just wading into an enemy front line, shrugging off damage and status effects, and locking people down. And that's really the only way I've ever known to play a Tank: establish the map tempo; initiate; enable your teammates; absorb incoming cooldowns; etc. But I've always found the lack of proper communication (particularly, but not exclusively, in pugs) to be really frustrating. Oftentimes, I see an opening that others might not, so I'll jump in and try to make something happen, but there's no follow-up. This, combined with what I would identify is poor map control, lack of appropriate soak from the rest of the team, led me to simply avoiding the role entirely for a long time. But I've recently started playing Tanks in a much more defensive, reactionary style -- rather than jumping in and trying to force engagements, I'm anchoring bushes, counter-initiating when enemies rush in, and holding cooldowns to peel. It has been a lot more effective, and a much more enjoyable, tactical experience overall; I'm surprised it took me upwards of 5 years to recognize those mistakes and make that transition. Mei, and especially Anub'arak, are fast-becoming two of my favorite characters to play.
Jumped on to do an ARAM with @Supagoat . Ended up as Stitches vs double Imperius, which is no bueno; the fatter I get, the more they're going to chunk me with % damage, and I'm already a pretty easy spear target. So I decide instead to just hang back, wait for them to engage on an ally, and then I can hook them well out of position while they're standing there impaling someone. Works pretty well, but our team gets salty. One of them pings me and says, "Can you tank?" (or something along those lines). And it's just so dumb, like, what do you want me to do? I'm Stitches; I can't peel for you, I can't "tank" double Imperius. The one thing I can do is pretty reliably force them out of position with hooks while they're vulnerable. I got, what would you say Supa, like 3-4 Hook / Gorge kills over our wall throughout the mid-game? Then we just started snowballing, and none of the rest of the guys on team said shit after that.

That sounds like my experience when I roll a tank in ARAM into a comp where I have no hope of actually tanking. The difference is my team refuses to play around it and instead just feeds like crazy while bitching that I'm not diving in, so then we're 2-3 levels behind and "just going in" becomes more and more of a liability.

there's a nonzero chance I come back too, since some friends dragged me into League ARAMs and it's giving me the MOBA bug again
Have an Overwatch daily, so when Tracer comes up on ARAM and all the other roles are covered, I ended up grabbing her just for quest completion. Everything's going fine, except our Garrosh is super aggressive and keeps picking fights under their towers (vs like, Taunt Varian and Gorge Stitches) and dying. He then starts talking about how "every hero in the game is better than Tracer" and that "ARAM's been out for a while, why don't people understand that Tracer is worse than a Ranged Minion?" And it's like ... okay, first of all, I'm doing fine in this match. I'm not dealing as much damage as I'd like to because I have to play around Varian's Taunt, but it is what it is. Second? I mean, I'm also hindered by the fact that our Tank keeps feeding under towers. Does he want me to engage 4v5? He keeps talking shit, even though I haven't said a word to him, and even after the match, he keeps messaging me, like "there isn't a weekly box anymore", "why are you spamming these?", "when you play like you don't owe your team anything?", "so toxic", etc.
I have said literally nothing to this dude, lol.
I checked his profile and he's Gold 3.
What is it about people at that level of play that makes them so fucking bad and salty lol. I'll never understand it.

ARAM became hilariously tryhard once they made it a standard mode. People will call you out for not taking a healer or not taking "meta" heroes like Zul'jin.

"I actually think 'Thing of the Deep' is the best talent for Nazeebo at level 1, full stop. Across the board. I don't think there's any situation, really, where I'd consider the other ones. At all."
based Cavalier Guest actually knows what he's talking about. Thank you for not advocating for meme frogs.
At that level, no doubt. For the unwashed masses at the scrub level, Frogs seem to be able to do ok. Lord knows people on my teams have no hesitation about face tanking them.

Thing if the Deep was the best one even before it had the spellpower component. Though it can be nice if they are have a squishee to thow the beefy spiders in their face and watch HP just melt.
Spiders are also great at sieging with the single-target dps talent that spawns extra spiders.
I.e. make sure to just hit a tower and not a tower and wall
You can still do that with thing of deep, though.
MMMig on

Thing of the Deep was always good, but it wasn't "Always Take This Full Stop" good until they buffed it with the spellpower quest. Even in the video CavalierGuest points out that Toads build has value for zoning and siege, which was how you play Nazeebo in most casual games - double stack all game, ignore the other team, destroy their buildings. Even in HGC, Nazeebo only showed up during the "every game goes late" meta where they just stacked him up the ass on Dragon Shire and ran it down bot once he got Vile Infection. IIRC most pros would actually take Spiders build during that time.
Thing of the Deep allows you to hit his teleport spot with Wall / Spiders 20% easier, though. :S
Yeah but you have a bajillion HP, just walk the fuck up, eat some damage, and literally delete him with one Jar instead of getting him annoyingly low and watching him walk away. The difference at level 20 is like 1.5k damage.
Loss on Dragonshire. See if you can figure out what happened by just the stat screen:

We have access to Gaz after he gets through first ban. The D.Va shows and we're all happy. BAM! Instalock, first pick Aba. FUCK!
But, I keep my cool and we try and draft smart after the fact. Maybe the Aba is really good? I tell the team that Aba can push lanes and give us a lead while we fight over a shrine. That was the plan, but Aba had other plans.
You see, Aba never moved from spawn all game. Not, moved very little, I mean he LITERALLY never moved from the start of the game. All he did, was put a hat on Tass and nothing else. No mines, no lane soaking, no Monstrosity (until Tass died at the end), nope nothing at all. Tass, fucking Tass. Put the hat on me or D.Va for fuck's sakes. They weren't even in a party so it made even less sense.
I began to wonder how bad this person was...
Oh for fuck's sake! I just...ugh. Reported, but come on.

"InstalockTLV" is the sort of username that makes me reconsider if dodging drafts is really that bad
