My god. How do you keep it looking so glorious and not like, wiry, bushy and generally unkempt? Do you regularly trim the longer bits? Oil and brushing/combing?
Check out my picture from the beginning of November. Its normally a wire brush. I do comb and balm it every morning though.
I went to my stylist this time with a picture of Nick Offerman from his recent appearance on hot ones and said “something like this”. She brought my cheeks to as short as she could using scissors then shaped my chin. I do still have a few flyaway white hairs in there though.
I also try to go get my hair cut and beard shaped every 5-6 weeks. Trying to look more professional this year.
Could use a little tidying up, but it’s cold as hell here now, so I’m gonna see how big this thing can get by March or so. Maybe then there’ll be some noticeable difference!
It ain't November, but how about we look at some quarantine beards?
I know I've been too lazy to do shit about this disgusting neckbeard for the last two months, outside of trimming the hair on my lip so I'm not eating it.

Well, looky what we almost missed out on!
Yes, November in the Year of the COVID has probably been a remarkably shittier month compared to the rest of the year with politics, elections, this goddamned pandemic and the resulting lifestyle, educational, and occupational changes, restrictions, and/or loss it has resulted in.
But, November is (was) the time to show off beards.
So, let's res this thread (pretty sure there isn't a new beard thread made in the last month) and do a Holiday 2020 CFB (Call For Beards). Whether you grew a beard out over the last month, few months, since the start of "all of this", or you are a beard aficionado and/or lifer, let's show 'em off!
In addition, because this year has taken a mental toll even on the toughest of minds, if you need to talk to someone to deal with the stress of your current worldscape or situation please do not hesitate to seek out help, talk to a trusted peer or mentor, or take a mental day off and unplug for a while, if possible.

Aw fuuuuck I'd been meaning to rez this thread all month bc I've been growing out my beard (and hair) but kept putting off taking a better selfie. I'll just use this one from a few weeks ago then:
Both are obviously without any styling or trimming to speak of, but I don't have to look nice for anyone right now so I'm doing Science to see what happens as I let them keep going.

I don't think I've ever posted a beard pic on here but I am finally in my 30s and I can kinda sorta get something going if I concentrate for a couple weeks
You’re not allowed to be that good looking AND be funny and interesting.
In other news, I’ve recently started trimming my cheek whiskers and it has made such a difference to the neatness of my beard. I’m really happy with it
I really did not want to grow my beard this year because of the mask mandate
I have not shaved in 3 weeks because I ran out of razors and it's a state that I need to use the trimer
I recently realized that glasses (at least very primitive ones) were not invented until the 13th century. Over the ear glasses I don't think came about until the 1700's. I would imagine neither version were all that common nore affordable for various and sundry peasants.
So I imagine medieval archers were just out there doing warfare completely blind and this is hilarious to me.
Just a whole row of menacing long bowmen poised to loose their arrows except for Godwin, who is facing backwards. So somebody has to turn him around the right way real quick before they shoot.
All Mr. Magoo'ing his way across the battlefield and somehow accidentally decapitating the enemy king with a series of toppling axes initiated when the sheep he mistook for his Uncle tried to kick him but missed.
Yeah, as a person with extremely poor vision, very high myopia (my prescription lenses are -6.60) i would be almost helpless without my glasses or contacts
I have a high risk of my retinas detaching, so that's horrific

If you want to do something really cool, get a cheap digital camera, set it to record video and set it on your bale recording, and have it record you shooting towards it. It is SUPER cool to watch.
That would be pretty fun. I'm going to see if I still have an old phone.
I bet that angle looks cool as fuck
It's been a while, but the last time we did it I was shooting a 60lb compound bow and my friend was shooting a 40lb Olympic recurve, both of us at 100 yards. My arrow stays in frame the entire shot, but his arcs out of the top, then slams into the target at the last second. It was real fun.

I read the average hair growth rate is less than 1/8 of an inch a week
Also, not all of your hair grows at the same rate, there are three or four growth stages for hair
One thing you could do is is pick a length, and cut your hair to that length every week
It will start to look fuller each week as you get all the hair the same length
Then, you could decide if you want to keep growing it or maintain it or shave it all off

What, and miss the next six months of Election coverage?

There's a lot of grey in your beard this year
If I saw him wearing this:
I’d think, yep he is definitely one of those
