Why...why is it in a bag?

Because this is the first time he's ever bought timber and bagged it up, probably. He doesn't strike me as someone who does any amount of DIY. or repair work.

You can definitely buy smaller precuts like that, or have it cut.

But that whole tweet is just *chefs kiss* perfect. I couldn't come up with a harder own.

He's encouraging all his braindead followers to shop at Home Depot because they're not taking a public stance against Georgia's voter suppression laws.

Hence his massive capital injection to his local Home Depot of $4.29 for a piece of Poplar.

I've never seen someone who has so clearly never been to or purchased something from home depot before.

Heck, that might be the first time he's ever held a piece of wood.

That’s going to raise a philosophical question as to whether Shapiro can hold his personality.

Wet-sanding and polishing Shapiro's wood is something that has never, and will never take place.

His wood will sit there, dry, dusty, and unused on a shelf.

There are....so many actually useful things you could buy at a Home Depot and he comes out with a single board

    To do..... something with

Is he....going to build a single shelf? What

    I don't....what

Is it the cheapest thing he could buy that would be visible on camera??

I believe one of Home Depot's co-founders and CEO is an open Trump supporter and donor. Since then I too have turned to Lowe's in protest.

I mean I can think of reasons to buy a single plank. I've bought a single 4x4 because I had something very specific in mind.

I don't think Ben Shapiro has anything in mind.

So that's it? That's the GOP's voter suppression plank? I thought a political plank was figurative, but apparently it's poplar? And Ben Shapiro keeps it in a plastic bag, because I guess it doubles as the fuck the environment plank.

I was actually planning to buy a board about that size along with some shelf brackets this very weekend so I could have a place to put more house plants on my back porch.

I'm still probably gonna, but now I'm going to feel just a tiny bit weird about it. Thanks, Shapiro, you wobbly plop.

    Oh for sure but like

Most hobbyist woodworkers are gonna buy more than a single board when they go into a Home Depot, you know; rarely have I ever gone into a hardware store and escaped with one thing unless I'm mid-project and ran out of something

I sincerely doubt this clown is gonna hang this board up with leather strapping for a modern shelf, or laser cut a cool pattern, or draw something cool with a heat tool or anything

Bet he doesn't even have a mitre saw!! A mitre!!

If you wanted to make a statement then actually buying a project’s load of materials would be a good visual.

If you don’t do a ton of projects, you can buy fuckin air filters

A single plank of wood is like lowest effort “own the libs” idiocy
