A little spoilery, but it's useful info.
This game could be said to be set around the time of Project Justice, if anything.
Challenges
To issue a challenge, the fighter must PM the targeted player, as well as the GM. The desired target has to accept the challenge, and contact the GM with their approval, before the challenge can commence.
For a 2v2 or 3v3 fight to happen, the consent of all players involved is required.
As of Day 2, there are no longer restrictions based on school affiliation. Any player may team up with any one from any school.
For a match to happen on the same day, it must be finalized by an hour before vote close(11:00 PM, EST). Any matches finalized during the last hour carry over to the next day.
Losing a fight won't necessarily remove a person from the game, but that won't hold up.
Also, one can't evade a challenge forever.
A match may turn out to be either private or public. In the first case, only the results of the match will be revealed. In the second, the players(not their roles) involved in the match will also be made known.
A player may only be in one match per day. This includes teaming with other players.
^
As of day 3, for the indefinite future, this restriction has been removed.
Fights will be determined by rounds. A 1v1 match will be single round. 2v2 will be three rounds, at most. 3v3, five at most. The last player remaining will earn that school a victory for the match.
Results will be determined by die rolls utilizing that character's base statistics. Some characters are more adept at certain means of combat and venues than others. Keep this in mind before issuing a challenge, and attempt to plan accordingly.
Venues / Opening / Triple TechsIntroduction:
The following text is found distributed on assorted flyers of random colors all over: bulletin boards, light poles, even the occasional internet board(in which case, this is displayed in context).
This was more than likely seen in a newspaper, in a full page (color!) ad.
The flyers seen in person are visibly not as professional; having been handwritten(and colored).
ComingThis Semester!
The Third Annual
Justice High Free-For-All
Cross-Curricular Combatant Competition!
Students from all over the globe are expected to attend, for a magnificent grand prize!
Those wishing to participate should report to Justice High by the evening of February 3rd, or miss a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
Be advised that each school may only send three students at most.
Additionally, the maximum participants for this special competition has been firmly set at 20 players.
Faculty may participate as well, but this is a very limited exception!
We hope to see you there, students! Get practicing!
The preceding has been sponsored by the Justice High Extra Curricular Activities Board,
and is in no way associated with the Phalla Royale Battle Program. Honest.
This Phalla will be based on the fighting game/series Rival Schools, aka Project Justice.
This may give some of you an idea of what to expect, but for the rest, studying up on the source material might be a good idea.
While there will be traditional mechanics in play, there will also be quite a few unique adjustments for the setting.
Vote close will be at
11:00 PM, EST, nightly. Day 1 ends Sunday night.
Traditional rules
do apply: no anonymous contact(
this includes message boards), especially.

I'd be remiss if I didn't !sign up to at least one
Update of some kind forthcoming.
Not hand-written, but typed, giving it a bit more professionality than the last attempt.
Participants in this event will be expected, naturally, to fight one another.
Matches will be determined not by a higher power, but by the entrants themselves.
This will be done through challenges.
Any individual may challenge any other individual to a match, at any other time.
Should they accept, then the match will be declared, and will proceed.
Matches between pairs and trios of participants must be agreed upon by all parties, and may only transpire between schools.
A match will not transpire until an agreement is reached. Once this happens, the match is final, and will occur once circumstance permits*.

This is only one of many rules entrants will be expected to follow, in addition to the expected behavioral standards of all students. Attendance and conduct will be chaperoned as necessary.
As with all competitions of this sort, entry is at the participants' risk. We will do our utmost to assure the safety of the students and all entrants, but we make no guarantees.
this was what I was going to do for my Pokemon phalla.
Ah, well, !signup or reserve
Nothing you could do involving the trainers to help differentiate or would that be too much of a pain?
Naw, naw, I got more ideas to map out.
You probably have this mixed up with KOF Evolution. :P
I'll begin work on the roles and PMs once signups close.
Whenever the first day starts, it'll end at Sunday night(most likely at 11:00 PM).
A bit more pertaining to matches:
I imagine there'll be a lot more death and dismemberment in yours, at very least. :P
For the moment, I'll estimate things getting underway around noon or so.
Noon what time zone?

The finalized roster is displayed on a fairly wide-scale viewing screen for all to see, accompanied by the ridiculously loud blaring of an intercom.
Oh, it is! That's a relief! Can you turn it down a notch!?
Not that low, idiot!
That's better! Ahem... welcome! As you probably know, you're all here to beat each other up!
Well, that might be a harsh way of putting it. But you get the idea! Whichever group remains will be our victors!
I'm sure you all know that, so let's move on to the details!
The Justice High Extra-Curricular group has kindly arranged for this tournament not only to occur here, but anywhere!
Well, not really anywhere... but quite a few places!
A challenger can declare where he wants the match to take place at!
Should the challenge not suggest one, the challenged may then suggest one instead.
If neither provide one, then it'll be randomly determined!
By who? I don't know. Someone!
Well, you all know the rest... I hope. If not, well, try not to get beaten up, and just beat up the other guy instead.
We're off to an early start, so... the first round of matches will end tomorrow evening at 11:00 PM, EST.
No... I really don't get why we're following that time zone either...
Well, good luck! And play fair!
You can turn it off now! Wait, what's this one d-
The cheery voice is replaced by a hail of static, crashes, and the occasional explosion.
Some moments later, a new flyer is presented.
You can vote for a player to be removed via a !red vote.
Retractions may be posted in !lime.
Retractions aren't required, but preferable.
Challenges can begin immediately from this point on.
Once a challenge is finalized, it is set in stone, and will begin before the vote close(excepting instances in which the challenge was finalized in the final hour before vote close, in which case it carries over to the next day).
One match per day, per player; this includes teaming up with others.
The loser(s) of a match are not removed from play, but will have a mark against them.
After losing a second match, that player will be eliminated from the competition.
Triple Techniques
In the event of a 3v3 match, Triple Techs can be used by the combined representatives of a school.
A group may only invoke a Triple Tech once per day.
All three players must be online and simultaneously PM cj iwakura during the match's duration to invoke the Triple Tech.
If the match ends before the attempt, or any of the trio is absent, the triple tech will not occur.
In the event of two triple techs being attempted at once, the first attempt will be the one that takes priority.
Once a match is finalized, the time and location will be announced. The duration of the match will vary from instance to instance, but it will generally take at least fifteen minutes.
If the location is public, then the fighters will also be unveiled when the match starts(as the players, not their roles). The results of the match will be made known immediately afterwards.
Should it be private, then the results will not be known until vote close(only as needed: when a player was removed as a result of the match).
If a location is not chosen by either party(challenger's decision, then the challenged), then it will be randomly determined.
Matches transpire on a first-come, first-served basis, and will occur when the GM is present(generally during the evenings).
Clarifications may be posted in orange. Responses may vary.
The competition has begun. Game on!
