That's how my Nana that raised me was. She couldn't eat any sort of pepper except maybe bell peppers.
I get it tho, she was raised poor in the hills of Virginia in like the 40s and shit, they ate different kinds of food with limited access to herbs and spices compared to what we have nowadays.

The land itself is really immersive and kinetic but damn it does feel a bit empty. We didn’t get the Yoshi ride out here that they got in Japan, and it really feels missed. Obviously space in Uni Hollywood will always be an issue but the whole thing just feels obligatory, like they had to put a Nintendo World out here and did the bare minimum.
Anyway, Disney also decided to reopen their passes for sale so I bought one just in time for them to open the Mickey ride out here god help me.

But I have gone to Nandos with at least one person who was concerned that Lemon and Herb was going to be too spicy, while I was ordering the hottest chicken and adding more sauce to the chips, so I know they exist
I tend to assume it's a bad experience during formative years, like how I once thought I was eating a crisp but it was compacted prawn cocktail flavour powder at the bottom of the bag, so now I can't face eating prawn cocktail crisps
Thai and peri peri, on the other hand, seem like a much, I don't know, lighter spice, even if they're hotter in terms of Scoville units

Economies of scale could create a more time efficient way to feed the population, but that assumes that enough people want to live like that and that it would make an appreciable difference to costs to the individual
More communal cooking within populations could be a good thing, depending on who you live with - having a dinner club in apartment blocks or workplaces, for example
