To celebrate getting verified on davinci gallery as well as the year ending, I've painted this in the late hours of the night. It feels mystical yet sad, it is quite a weird painting I will not lie, I guess it comes from a sad place in my heart one that I would like to let go with the past and what better way to do that than by having it be the last painting of 2021. Goodbye 2021 and with your leaving take with you all the things that make us sad, the things that make us unnecesarily angry, frustrated and basically hinder us from growing. Take it all away and allow 2022 to be a year of pure endless positive possibilities for everyone. Today and always. Happy new Year
Working on a cover art for one of my songs. I think I've been staring at it for far too long. Any and all feedback will be appreciated. This is a nod to one of my favorite bands, Gorillaz with the Feel Good Inc windmill.
nice work! just a few things id change, first of all, if the sun beams are coming from the left, having the sun in the frame doesnt really make sense. if you look at studio ghibli stuff you'll rarely see the sun in the shot. so take the sun out and then id add some more detail to the water. the water and the sky are the focus here so really make them shine! add some white caps to the waves, have some sunlight dappling the water where the beams hit. also id darken up the foreground stuff in the lower right, nearly have it as a silhouette. and then what really sells bright sunlight is some shadows, especially on the buildings and the trees.
here's a quick draw over to show what i mean!
again really nice work man, looking forward to more!

Thanks so much for this quick draw-over. That helps a lot especially the white caps and the lower right shadow I can definitely see how it improves the overall feeling of the image, and the thing about the sun makes so much sense! I appreciate you going over this to help me improve. Thanks again for it, I'll apply the feedback!
Thanks, Barcs, some times I have a hard time knowing where to start with the rendering but hopefully as I continue working on this style I'll get better at it. I started this time with the little mushrooms at the bottom right and from there to the tree and slowly I'll make my way through the whole thing.
Romulus Hongustus III: Mushroom Monster Conqueror of Evil Gnomes - Handmade Toy
Romulus Hongustus is a fearsome defender against the malevolent forces of evil garden gnomes.
With its enchanting ability to spawn smaller mushrooms, it leads the charge in the epic battle for garden dominance.
Doing some portrait practice myself thanks to @barcs aewsome reference Instagram. I used the original images and crafted fantasy characters out of them.
Thank you very much! Haven’t drawn anything new other than more work on that cover art but I’ve been working on some new toy sculptures. Recently finished and sold this one.
And today I made a new robot one. Still unpainted.
Keep it Mabs! I know this part of the forum is quiet but your stuff is getting seen!
Thanks a lot Endless, I appreciate the words of encouragement. I've grown a lot from the first post on this page and I'm excited to keep posting and growing along with y'all.
Super excited to be releasing this new minicomic online for everyone to read. This is the second story in the series and in this one, Mr.Mabs plants a seed that grows into immense proportions and he meets some cool people. You can read it now on DriveThruComics for .50 cents.
It's exciting to be releasing this out into the world. I did a small print run of like 50, but to have it digital for everyone read really makes me happy. I'm currently working on a 3rd story and on making a full-length 30+ page, full-size comic collecting all 3 stories on there. I'm also working on getting the website up to speed so we can host it like a webcomic, all of it is really awesome and has me super hyped for all that is to come.
Happy to see my mustache boy keep growing and reaching new places. Hope you like what you read and that the art is worth those .50 cents of your hard-earned moolah. Keep creating!
Releasing a new song next month so I'm putting together a new cover art based on a really cool werewolf Captain America cover. That's Muriel from Courage the Cowardly Dog.

I finished a couple of stuff lately and even started a new painting yesterday.
Jijiji thanks so much! He’s a bit fed up with having to be inside a suit when he has all the ability to swim in the big ocean.
Thanks very much for the feedback. That's exactly what I ended up doing.
