    Or just die? Dying in D3 was meaningless except for Hardcore

    Town portals are disabled during boss fights which can take a long time to beat. Astaroth took me something like 10 minutes, then another ten minutes because the ending glitched. I wasn't about to accept dying a few minutes into that.

    That's why should have a spec like mine where you can murder elites in seconds and large act bosses in only a minute or two. And then spend all your resources on packs of random moops because you don't have any aoe of note.
