Formatting buttons in quick reply box aren't working

None of the buttons above the reply field are working for me.
The same buttons are working when making writing a post on its own page, such as when making a new thread or opening the quote link in a new tab.
I am using Firefox 130.0.1 on Windows.

When editing a post in-line, the formatting buttons don't work.
When editing a post on a separate page (middle click the edit link), they do work.
I only just remembered that that's a thing.
